At my firm....get it.....we have to sell their base with a Temp. But it is an Ergo base so its just Tempur Sealy swinging their big dick around keeping us in our place. But the best base for it is what I have......a Mantua Contemporary III. The lumbar portion is amazing and this feature is not on any of the Ergo bases. Plus it has a bunch of different color lights for the under the bed lighting (there so you can keep your room pitch black except for the constant under the bed light....no bright light flipped when you sleep walk to the bathroom to wake you up). I would just head into a place that carries them, but you may have to ask for the "900" base as it is called in our favorite money laundering company. If the lumbar doesn't do anything then just buy any decent base from Ergo, Reverie, Leggett and Platt or Mantua. Head and foot, a few memory settings, etc. Tell the Temp store you have a captains bed. Then buy the base separately. Warranty will be fine. Answer from Morning_Star_Ritual on reddit.com

Looking for information on adjustable beds (for Tempur-pedic) - General Mattresses Questions - Mattress Underground
Hi Guys I’ve seen some discussion on the Internet on this topic but can’t seem to get clear answers. I am about to pull the trigger on a Tempur-pedic mattress (standard King size). I think I am more or less sold on the adjustable / ergo component of the bed as well. More on forum.mattressunderground.com
Are tempurpedic bases worth the money?
I absolutely love my prosmart base! The Soundwave massage is one of my favorite things, especially since we use it for the snore response instead of the elevation bc we are on a queen and my husband didn't like moving in the night bc of my snoring. I also really enjoy the Bluetooth features! We sleep in zero g, so I like that instead of adjusting out of it, it massages just enough to get you to reposition without waking up. With that being said, I don't really use the app or sleep tracking very much. It also has known bug issues with working with amazon alexa devices. Like I said, I love my base, and to be 100% honest, we did not pay anywhere near msrp bc we bought a floor model from Mattress Firm. They also had outlet bases, which were returned bases but not new, so there's no warranty unless you buy an extra one. We saved like $900 or so dollars because of this, so I'd recommend trying that, especially if you've got patience Edit: full disclosure, I am a mattress firm employee but I'd still recommend the prosmart base for the feature and how sturdy it is. I'd also recommend the outlet/floor model option because that's literally all I have in my home with 3 beds and 3 bases and I've had very little issues and the ones I have had (broken remote thanks to my 80lb dog chewing on it) were fixed very promptly by the firmcare company. Why does my Tempur Smart Ergo Base randomly vibrate while sleeping?
This is our first night with one and I've been woken up multiple times by exactly this already. I assume the replacement fixed your issue? More on reddit.com

r/Mattress on Reddit: Adjustable bases for Tempur-Pedic: is it worth it to get a Tempur-Pedic base too, or should I look at other base brands?
November 7, 2020 -
We are going to buy a Tempur-Pedic next week, and I know I want an adjustable base for sure. I don’t really care for any crazy features, I just want something that isn’t going to be high maintenance and won’t break. I don’t mind paying for quality if it’s worth it. I also am big into warranties and don’t want to unintentionally use another brand base and void my mattresses warranty.
Should I look at other brands or get the Tempur-Pedic base too? What other brands should I look at if not?
Also a total dumb question, but all I need for the bed is the adjustable base and the mattress right? Do I need a frame or anything between the adjustable base and the mattress?

Ergomotion makes their adjustable bases, so just go shopping and look for cheaper brands that are also made by ergomotion. They’re all very similar, if you only care about head/foot adjustability just go with the cheapest model that’s made by the same company for the same quality. Someone mentioned their warranty being tied to a Tempur adjustable...can’t say one way or the other, but highly doubt that.
