July 24, 2022Adjustable base for Tempurpedic Grandbed
Ergomotion bases are rated for 650 lbs. L&P, Mantua, and those other companies rate theirs for 750 lbs. Ironically, the Ergomotion bases are far more solidly built than the competition. Anyway, Grandbed could be sold with an Ergo Grand adjustable base that came as a one piece with a 650 lb weight limit or split that came with a 550 lb weight limit per side. That said, I would avoid any of bases that have a 750 or 850 pound limit as the motors I've seen in those are trash and won't be able to lift a Grandbed, especially with someone heavier on it. Big Fig is worth looking into, unfortunately, I don't have any information on that base to give you more insight. More on reddit.com

The 1 Pc kings are 247 lbs for the Ergo and Ease bases. The ergo extends comes in 2 pieces for the horizontal, its 128 for the head and 158 for the feet. The vertical splits are only 130 for the Ergo and Ease bases each. And then 162 for the ergo Ext. each. More on reddit.com

May 21, 2020Adjustable bases for Tempur-Pedic: is it worth it to get a Tempur-Pedic base too, or should I look at other base brands?
At my firm....get it.....we have to sell their base with a Temp. But it is an Ergo base so its just Tempur Sealy swinging their big dick around keeping us in our place. But the best base for it is what I have......a Mantua Contemporary III. The lumbar portion is amazing and this feature is not on any of the Ergo bases. Plus it has a bunch of different color lights for the under the bed lighting (there so you can keep your room pitch black except for the constant under the bed light....no bright light flipped when you sleep walk to the bathroom to wake you up). I would just head into a place that carries them, but you may have to ask for the "900" base as it is called in our favorite money laundering company. If the lumbar doesn't do anything then just buy any decent base from Ergo, Reverie, Leggett and Platt or Mantua. Head and foot, a few memory settings, etc. Tell the Temp store you have a captains bed. Then buy the base separately. Warranty will be fine. More on reddit.com

June 9, 2024 - I decided to save some money and go with the mattress firm brand 900 adjustable base which was $1000 cheaper than the Tempur-Pedic branded base they sold in the store. The salesman didn't seem to have a preference and explained the Tempur-Pedic ones they sold weren't made by Tempur-Pedic anyways.
