We’ve had our mattress since 2009. It’s still sleepable but the top comfort layer is finally starting to give away. I’ve gained weight since then as well which is likely accelerating the degradation.

I looked up the Luxe Adapt Soft and it costs a fortune. Any other recommendations? I’ve looked at a bunch of mattress in box … Nectar and Novosbed stuck out as being good for heavier fellas (230 pounds +) but I do wonder if it will feel too firm … cloud luxe Tempur-pedic mattresses were very very soft … they had great support but didn’t feel like traditional firm foam mattresses that hug you. As I’ve gotten older and heavier though I wonder if a firmer mattress is what I need ….

Cloud just refers to the comfort so soft The luxe adapt is the comparable in terms of what you would get under warranty but there is some new foam in there. I'm not as great with US models but if the $ is high try the Pro series 2009... you may be under the prorated warranty still and could possible get some $ if your mattress meets warranty requirements (20-25 years partial coverage for some beds) may be worth checking out

Hi there! I've just started the same process you had. Did you decide on a new mattress and what did you get? We have had our cloud luxe just about the same time and I'm worried that in replacing it, we won't get the same quality or feel. Interested in what you learned or have experienced. I've been watching a ton of review videos.
