Tempur-Pedic - Yes or No?
Long term TP owner here. Basically the mattress takes some getting used to (give yourself at least two months, get used to the floaty feel and also the slightly higher body heat retention). Overall, I wouldn’t change it for another mattress. Having run sleep apps, its clear that I barely move all night whilst on a TP leading to much better quality sleep. By contrast, even on very high end sprung mattresses, I end up moving a lot more with greater disrupted sleep. Stories about TP mattresses sagging should be taken with a pinch of salt. Unless you are seriously heavy, I wouldn’t worry about it. I have two TP beds in my house. No sagging at all after 5 and 10 years of use respectively. The only downside I can think of is that the mattresses sleep slightly hotter. This is only noticeable in summer, and the solution is simply to cover yourself with less. In summary: I’d go for it. I bought my pro adapt 2 months ago and me and my husband have never slept better. I don’t know about longevity or them honoring the warranty but I have no regrets. I’m a frugal person and the price did give me pause but so far it’s the best purchase I’ve made in years. More on reddit.com

Six years on a Tempur-pedic firm pro adapt all I can say is I wish I had those six years back because this thing is just awful. It took me like five months to get used to it. My wife really liked it so I stuck it out. we bought a new bed, but it’s taking a while to get to my house. I slept on the floor last night and I feel so much better. I can’t even tell you if you’re wondering if it’s your bed grab a sleeping bag and a nice pillow and sleep on the floor if you sleep better it’s probably your bed never doing the memory foam thing again More on reddit.com

Yes tempur is been sheize for a long time. If you want maximum durabillity either get yourself 100% organic latex or a decent heat treated pocketsping mattress. If you chose a little bit firmer option you could always use a memory foam topper to get the tempur sleeping experience with the added durabillity. More on reddit.com

So far I have owned 2 Tempur beds. Both felt great for a while when I first got them, but then not even 2 years later they started becoming too soft to the point of causing pain. Not acceptable for a bed costing several thousands.
The first Tempur I bought was the perfect firmness at the time of purchace. The second one was even more firm, because my thinking was the extra firm would just soften up to firmness I like. Both ended up becoming too soft. My brother had the same problem with his Tempur becoming too soft as well. Keep in mind I am only around 145 pounds.
Their are even some people reporting their Tempur becoming too soft even after only 6 months. I also heard that 20 years ago Tempur was better quality and didn't soften so much, then after they developed a name, they started cheaping out on quality.
Anyway, just be warned that if you buy a Tempur, 6-24 months after you buy it, there is a decent chance of it losing a lot of its firmness, to the point of causing pain.
I am not sure what is the best bed to buy to retain firmness. Maybe somone in the comments can chime in.
Update: Flipped my mattres around and had even a worse sleep, because my body I guess was so used to the extra soft side, that the firmer side was a shock? So now we have one end way too soft and one way too firm. Oh Tempur why must you be so difficult?

Our cloud breeze has just been approved for warranty replacement due to huge indents. The middle of the bed is over an inch higher than the sides. Even the head and feet area have collapsed. Going to pick something to get a few years before go with a different brand next time. The company suggested I get a new foundation because the new mattresses are heavier. Screw that, they aren’t getting more money from me.
