Hi, me and my wife purchased a split king size tempur-pedic mattress with adjustable tempur-pedic bed frame and now we are having trouble finding furniture set to go along with it. I know we can buy a headboard and attach that so the back but is that the only option? Any suggestions
We are looking to get a split king adjustable bed. My fiance moves a lot in his sleep and sometimes snores and I’m a light sleeper, and I cannot do memory foam it’s way too firm for me so we want the split king. I’ve looked up countless brands, every brand seems pretty good and then I see threads saying it’s the worst mattress/company of all time. I’m going insane trying to decide on one.
Sleep number is the only one that I can’t generally find terrible reviews for - most people seem to like those beds for a long time or so it seems. Main downside being how pricey it is. Anyone have thoughts on sleep number split king or any other brand recommendations?
I'm trying to understand if the Tempurpedic flagship store sales reps are just trying to make a bigger sale or if what they are saying is true.
I'm going to purchase a Tempur Luxe Breeze King Size mattress (not split, just regular king). I was planning on purchasing 1 King SmartBase with the mattress but all the reps at the flagship suggested that I purchase the King Split SmartBase (essentially 2 twin smart bases put together) instead. They said that the single King works fine but is really meant for only 1 person on the bed and with 2 people the weight distribution is off. Instead, they claim the 2 twin bases would provide longer lifespan, better weight distribution, less strain on the hydraulics/motor. The also said that with the single king base, the mattress sometimes slips off the base because there is only 1 metal bracket thing at the foot of the bed. With the 2 twins then there are two metal bracket things.
Its a difference of $1400 so its not a light decision. Nowhere on the tempurpedic website can I see them suggest the 2 twins vs the 1 king so I'm wondering if this is just an attempt at getting more money out of me.
FYI If if we don't like the Breeze Luxe Mattress then we will be returning it and getting a Purple Rejuvenate Premiere mattress. The purple mattress is 18inch thick and 278 pounds vs the Tempurpedic which is 13 inches tall and 157-216lbs. I'm concerned the Purple is just HUGE then the idea of 2 twins might make sense
Edit: I called tempurpedic product support and they said the single king would work perfectly and no need to get two twins
