Sleep Number i10 vs Tempur-Pedic LuxeBreeze
You already know you love your current luxebreeze and the current model is even better. Stick with it. Tempurpedic has a better warranty is a better mattress and you already know you like it But touch more specifically Lumbar is actually amazing and will help with support way more then making a sleep number firm for the days you feel you need more with out taking away the pressure relief. Keep in mind a firm sleep number is adding pressure points and a softer one is reducing support due to the air technology and the way it works Cooling is improved 10 vs 8 degrees Their are a lot of benefits to raising your feet I suggest trying it and doing more research most sales people should be able to demo but there is a lot of info out there. Even if you don’t like them high just raising them a little will take pressure off when sitting up and stop you from sliding . Raising your feet is one of the biggest game changers in sleep Tempurpedic’s reduce motion better then anything in the industry so you will feel it more on sleep number but if you are moving that much I would refer you back to finding a better sleeping position using the adjustable with both head and feet and the lumbar to take it a step further. Sleep number didn’t feel as comfortable so that alone should tell you to get the tenpur you know you like but it’s not because your not used to it but because you are used to something better. Tempurpedic is more pressure relieving and and more supportive at the same time sleep number you have to choose and can’t reach the same levels The bases will work on any mattress so then not being returnable isn’t much of a issue however the Tempurpedic’s have more features Why would you go with the sleep number it seems like your falling for marketing when you already know the tempurpedic works As for your warranty question sleep numbers warranty is prorated after a year on most models take a closer look (think you already did)it’s actually one of the worst in the industry where Tempurpedic’s is non prorated for 10 years which is the industry standard Why not go full split? Their is a reason most companies don’t offer butterfly split anymore. The top is where most couples would feel the gap anyway and the feet being adjustable is again one of the most beneficial features of a adjustable. You can always put your feet at the same position if you want but with the split head only you don’t have the option if you wanted to adjust feet. Not to mention finding sheets is a nightmare in comparison to split king or standard king If your not sure if you want full split you could always get the solit bases but a regular king mattress and if you decided you need the split just exchange the mattress since the bases can’t be returned this helps future/safe proof your decision More on reddit.com

October 29, 2024 - The Sleep Number 360® c4 is one of the brand’s more affordable beds, and although it’s not entry-level, it’s also not the most expensive model. Still, it comes loaded with premium features, particularly its adjustable firmness and smart technology. Meanwhile, the TEMPUR-LuxeAdapt® is one of Tempur-Pedic’s highest-end models, but for the higher price point, you’ll get over-the-top contouring support that the brand claims is 30 percent more powerful than its other foam models.

r/Mattress on Reddit: Are Tempur-Pedic & Sleep Number Overpriced? Do Budget Adjustable Beds Work Just as Well?
February 12, 2025 -

I’m looking for an adjustable bed mainly to help with sleep apnea, and I’ve been comparing high-end brands like Tempur-Pedic and Sleep Number to more affordable options like Nectar and Sven & Son.

Honestly, the price difference seems huge, and I’m wondering if the premium brands are actually worth it or just overpriced.

For those who have tried both:

Is there a real difference in quality, durability, or functionality?

Do Tempur-Pedic and Sleep Number actually justify the premium price, or are you mostly paying for the brand name?

If you went with a more affordable option, how has it held up?

I’m leaning toward not overpaying, but I’d love to hear from anyone who has compared these firsthand—especially if you’re using an adjustable bed for sleep apnea relief

Like it is with mattresses, price has little to do with anything. From reading here, there are 3-4 major manufacturers of adjustable bases: Reverie, Ergomotion, Leggett & Platt, and Malouf. Ergomotion produces the Sealy and Tempurpedics, Leggett & Platt makes Mattress Firm's. I had a Sleep Number made by Leggett & Platt [They didn't try to hide it. It included a Leggett & Platt manual and their installation info]. The Sam's Club/Costco models are (they make the same base) by Southbay International, which is a subsidiary of Ergomotion. How can you tell which bases are the same? Check two things. First, on the website for each model, look at the photo of the remote. If the shape of the remote and the button placement are the same, it's likely that they're the same base. The other place to check is the tag. Like pillows and mattresses, all bases have a tag. It's the one that threatens endless torture for your entire life if you remove it. It should say who actually manufactured the base. So, how do you choose? Make a list of the features you like/want/need. Besides things like massage, wall hugging, lumbar adjustment, presets, and how high the head or foot raises; think about how often you change addresses. Why? Some of them, even in queen size, fold in half like a book. That makes putting them in a U-Haul or getting them through doorways easier. Some are two pieces that get put together. They're also easy to move. Others can't be disassembled or aren't stable on their sides. Lastly, check the actual weight of the base (that's different than the capacity). They can weigh anywhere from about 100 to almost 300 pounds. I ended up getting an Ergomotion. It's sold as a Blissful Nights e5, or Southbay International SBKDT2, or ZZZen e5.
