Long term TP owner here. Basically the mattress takes some getting used to (give yourself at least two months, get used to the floaty feel and also the slightly higher body heat retention). Overall, I wouldn’t change it for another mattress. Having run sleep apps, its clear that I barely move all night whilst on a TP leading to much better quality sleep. By contrast, even on very high end sprung mattresses, I end up moving a lot more with greater disrupted sleep. Stories about TP mattresses sagging should be taken with a pinch of salt. Unless you are seriously heavy, I wouldn’t worry about it. I have two TP beds in my house. No sagging at all after 5 and 10 years of use respectively. The only downside I can think of is that the mattresses sleep slightly hotter. This is only noticeable in summer, and the solution is simply to cover yourself with less. In summary: I’d go for it. Currently looking to buy a new mattress as my current bed in a box has become too soft.

Have tested Tempur-Pedic Adapt Medium and Pro Adapt Medium in numerous stores and love the feel/support.

My only hang-up is the countless reviews I see online stating they will do anything to get out of a warranty and the product sagging or dipping a few years after ownership.

I just don't want to get stuck with a $3200 bed that fails in a few years. Does anyone here have any thoughts, good or bad? If you own one, which model and for how long?

I had the same concerns after reading way too many Tempur Pedic reviews; lots of love for the feel, but the sagging and warranty issues definitely gave me pause. I personally ended up going with the Plush Beds botanical bliss after seeing the comparison here https://www.reddit.com/r/Mattress/comments/1h1m2js/comment/mk6u2ux/ . For me personally, PlushBeds seemed like the best choice. It’s all latex, so you should still get that contouring support but with more bounce and durability. Plus, it’s got a great return policy. Still waiting on it to arrive though and I'm excited to try it out!!!

Is tempurpedic worth it?

As side sleeper that had surgery and have sciatica, sleeping on my proadapt soft tempurpedic mattresss is awesome! Firmness def depends on your weight though I read online soft is good for side sleepers up to 160lbs Def try floor models and feel what would work for you. Never buy a Tempur-pedic

Or buy a tempur pedic from Costco so that you can take advantage of their ridiculous return policy for this reason. I can’t imagine buying something so personal as a mattress from anywhere else now. More on reddit.com

Bought a new tempurpedic not sure how I feel already

It sounds like you may need to go a little softer. I'd give it a couple nights, but not 30 if its not feeling better tomorrow or the next day. We bought the LuxeAdapt Soft a few years ago and we absolutely love it. It's not so soft that your down in it. It still has firmness. I never would have guessed we would have chosen the soft, but its still perfect 5yrs later. They say its their most pressure relieving collection. And it also is the 'cool to the touch' as well as has a removable, washable cover. Did you try them out in the store? We tried several mattresses and probably laid in this one in the store for at least 30 mins, probably much longer. We laid on our side, on our back, on our belly. Haha It was very expensive, but it was the one that felt right. I say don't get hung up on what it says 'soft', 'firm', just lay on them, and for more than just a few minutes, especially when you're spending that kind of money. More on reddit.com
