Gel-fuel firelog sets?
I don’t know anything about the gel logs, but was just wondering how often you clean your fireplace and get the chimney cleaned? Smoke smell lingering for days seems kind of strange to me :)

New product... Cinder Tabletop Bowl. Uses gel fuel.
CO Poisoning Grey Gel Fuel
If you don't already have a CO monitor in your house, you need one. I kind of doubt a table top fireplace would generate enough CO to be an issue in just 30 minutes, but without a meter it's hard to say.
More on reddit.comBeen considering purchasing a TerraFlame gel-fueled firelog set to use in our wood-burning fireplace, for simplicity and to eliminate the smoke smell (which is nice during the fire but which lingers for days).
They run about $400 including a dozen fuel cans. The return policy is "100% satisfaction guarantee"... but you can only return unused items, so I guess you need to decide if you're satisfied before actually trying it out 🙃
So, I'm wondering if anyone here has tried these things and what they thought, or if there are other smokeless options that don't require running a gas line that anyone might recommend. Thanks!

How about going to Amazon to read Terraflame product reviews? I can’t help directly, no experience….
