A lengthy search in many places did not answer this question for me. Is there any way to scroll back and reread the game messages you've received? Not chat messages from other players, but the alerts and messages about events, merchants, etc. For example, if you went afk for a minute and saw a message disappear before you could read it, how could you re-display the message?

I really really want to get into terraria but so far haven't been able to play for longer than five minutes because I can't read a single word on screen. The internet tells me to change the resolution but this helps nothing. What do I do?

My friend and I have been planning to start playing Terraria, but we’ve encountered an issue and would like a second opinion. We prefer using text chat in games because we find it easier than voice chat through platforms like Discord. However, in the games where we’ve used text chat, they were more relaxed with not much happening all at once. What my friend and I are aren’t sure about is whether it’s difficult to actively use text chat during activities that require more movement, such as a boss fight, or whether it would be better to just use voice chat for Terraria.
