[Tax] I need help calculating the after taxes salary

I would recommend you stick your info in one of the many calculators available on the web: http://www.paycheckcity.com/calculator/salary/

Your fed withholding number will vary for the first year based on your job start date, but if you were to start working today monthly numbers assuming $70,000 annual salary would be:

Gross Pay: $5833.33

Fed Withholding: $1059.90

Social Security: $361.67

Medicaid: $84.58

Net Pay: $4,327.18

This will also be reduced by any additional deductions that you enroll in. Health Insurance, 401k, commuter program, etc.

An actually-accurate US tax calculator?
I am getting a bit freaked out ... calculators online to try and see if my state and federal taxes that have been withheld are correct, and every single one of them tells me something different even if the information is (obviously) exactly the same. Like one will say I am owed, one will say I owe. They also don't seem to have an option for inputting income from elsewhere ... More on reddit.com

Income Tax Calculators Giving me Different Answers? What's my Real Income Tax Rate?
It sounds like you are looking at different kinds of results, and that is where the confusion is coming from. The SmartAsset one is showing your state, federal and fica tax liability on that amount of annual income. That 22% marginal tax rate is about just the federal income tax charged on your last dollar. It's not useful for what you are trying to figure out. That 6600 final number they gave was how much you'd pay annually in just federal income tax, which matches up fairly close to what SA is saying for federal income tax (though SA is a little high right now, a it's using 2023 brackets).
