The Circus, along with the Royal Crescent, was one of the main sights on our walking tour of Bath. What you see here is a series of Georgian terraces built in three majestic sweeping curves around a central, circular park. You can't go inside them so this is just a quick stop but it really does look quite wonderful and the curved lines make great photos.

The foundation stone of the King's Circus was laid with great fanfare on 7 February 1754. It seems that Wood had sent out the 18th-century equivalent of press releases.
