I bought some relaxed linen from the company store and I loved it at first, but I’m not sure this stuff is going to last. The sheet shrunk a bit in the wash even though I washed in cold and put it on tumble for low and took it out damp. One of the pillow cases ripped at the seam, and I’m trying to get them to replace it… which they said they would, but I haven’t heard from them in a week or so. I’m losing faith in this company.
What alternates are there to linen? I really enjoy the feel, but I need something that will last.

Hi all, thanks for taking the time to read my post. I placed an order at The Company Store today after reading some reddit posts complimenting them. I was excited about the order and ended up doing a bit more research about the down comforter.
I found other down comforters for around $200, but thought survey these are not of the same quality. I did a few more searches for sateen down comforters, and so.ehoe stumbled across some reddit reviews saying that The Company Store sucks now.
I ended up on trusted pilot, and the reviews are horrible. Now I am very nervous that I made the wrong choice. Should I try to cancel the order, or still give it a shot. It sounds like I have 30 days to send it back of it is not the quality I expected?
This is my first King bed and my first really nice set of bedding. I really want to get it right, especially for this amount of money. If the company store is not to be trusted, where can I find this similar down comforter. I really like the sateen and the patterned design reminds me of a wonderful comforter I came across in a hotel once. Thank you!
Here is the link to the comforter with the specific design.
My wife and I decided to stop using cheap bedding and finally buy something nice. We previously used IKEA or amazon bedding. After seeing all of the great reviews here about the company store we decided to go for it. $500+ later we have our new bedding and were very happy with it.
Until...
The issues with our duvet cover. The buttonholes are ripping, the buttons are coming off, and the corner ties (love this feature) are ripping off. We've had this for less than 5 months. Before this, we had a cheap amazon duvet that lasted 3 years without any issues, same button at the bottom design.
If you search this subreddit you will see tons of glowing reviews. They also have a reputation for great customer service. We figured that we must have gotten a lemon, and assumed we were in good hands with The Company Store. Keep in mind these cost $169.
What they offered...
To my disappointment, they only offered a 20% off coupon if I order a new one. My next move was to call customer service (we previously spoke via email). They stated they "can't just send one out for free". Now they are offering to sell me one for $50.
How do you feel about this offer? Is this fair or should I push for a replacement?
To me a $169 dollar quality duvet should not be falling apart in less than 6 months. I'm really open to hearing your thoughts about this and how you personally would handle it.
Thanks, everyone.
I sleep hot, have some sensory issues (although nothing major), and spend a lot of time in bed so percale has really done the thing for me. I’ve done some Garnett Hill, some Riley, some Brooklinen. All mismatched, Frankenstein sets on major sale due to my finances.
I’ve needed to replace my sheets for a while and found some The Company Store sheets on sale at Home Depot. They were super affordable! They matched my room! They matched each other! I was sold.
Yesterday was my first night with them. Oh. My. God. They are so scratchy! I washed them before hand too. I have always heard such good things about them so I am really confused and can’t tell if this is a me thing or not. I am wondering if they’ve fallen in quality and I should return them? Do they need to be washed more? Am I a sensitive little bed baby? They are nothing like the smooth, cold percale I have had before.
Can someone weigh in?
Thanks!
Ok, I need a new set of sheets and want to buy halfway decent ones this time. I think I want cotton percale. I am a really hot sleeper and I hear they sleep cooler (I can not afford linen, so that is a no go). Softness is important though.
After weeks of trying to read everything on sheets (a lot of it is from r/buyitforlife ) I think I have narrowed it down to two places: The Company Store and Garnet Hill.
They both have their baseline cotton percale fitted sheets (I only need the fitted) for similar prices right now with their black Friday sales starting (both around $35).
I originally has LL Bean in there too, but I am reading far too many bad reviews of both tanking quality as well as them not honoring their lifetime warranty.
So tell me, which do you prefer. Or do you have another suggestion (would like to stay around $50 or less for just the fitted sheet).
I will soon move into my first home and I'm looking to upgrade my Target Threshold bed sheets. I've scoured Reddit looking for reviews, but it's been a mixed bag. The Company Store is one of the most commonly mentioned brands, but I've read reviews ranging from terrible to great.
I'm looking into the following products:
- Classic Cool Cotton Percale Bed Sheet Set.
- Classic Smooth Wrinkle-Free Sateen Bed Duvet Cover.
- Classic Down Alternative Comforter.
I think bed sheets shouldn't be BIFL, but I want my sheets to feel high quality and last at least 5 years.
I would really appreciate any feedback regarding recent experiences with the brand.
Like the title says... I see these sheets come up a lot on this sub. We ordered the whole set, but this is the fitted sheet after five years: https://imgur.com/a/1FSSaG3
Threadbare and developing holes.
We're not mistreating them and we're following the prescribed care instructions. Just thought others might like to know.
Is the quality of The Company Store still good? I've seen some mixed reviews from posts on this subreddit and other subreddits like r/BuyItForLife. One person commented that the bedding quality of The Company Store used to be good until it was acquired by the Home Depot... Is this true?
Has anybody bought from them recently (last 2 years or so) and can speak of the quality of the sheets?
