For those unfamiliar with this local landmark, the 16th Street Mall is 1.25-mile outdoor pedestrian-friendly promenade designed by celebrated architect I.M. Pei, that is home to 300+ stores and over 50 restaurants and bars.

The Curtis is literally across the street from the Denver Center for Performing Arts which hosts many Broadway shows and has 1 of only 3 opera houses in the US and is the 2nd largest theatre district only behind NYC. There was a line at check in and we were offered Doubletree cookies fresh out of the oven while waiting. . The hotel is super fun with different themed floors such as "laugh out loud", "Star Wars", "fun and games", "chick flick".
