September 17, 2024 - At today's Geeked Week presentation, Netflix announced that The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, an anime set in the The Witcher universe, will be released on February 11, 2025.

The movie is now streaming on Netflix, and it's a welcome addition to the streamer as we await a 2025 release date for the highly-anticipated The Witcher season 4. The fourth season of the fantasy drama has been confirmed for a 2025 release.

February 12, 2025 - Henry Cavill's turn as Geralt in the live-action series had viewers streaming the show in droves, but Cavill left the role after The Witcher season 3. Netflix has hedged their bets though, and they not only produced a 2022 spinoff series entitled The Witcher: Blood Origin, but also a 2021 animated feature, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf. Sirens of the Deep is a new step for the streaming giant, as the animated feature stars Geralt, who is played onscreen for the first time by someone other than Cavill.
