I just finished binge watching all the episodes. My only background to the whole saga are little bit of the 3. game and the Witcher card game. I've watched it without knowing about the controversies that are going on about some of the castings, but now as I do, I wanted to share my thoughts with you and discuss them.
Geralt: At first I thought he was too muscular but man he really is a great cast and is acting so good it's really great.
Yennefer: Now I know that she probably is the most discussed cast decision out of all - and I TOTALLY don't understand it. She's absolutely gorgeous both in acting and also in the looks. The moment she "awakened" and got rid of her disability I was flashed and stunned of how good they hit her character looks to what I knew from my previous sources. And I was left even more breathless later in the episode when she first met Geralt. Her whole badass and "I don't give a sht" attitude and acting paired with her dark, mysterious appearance was the most satisfying thing in the whole season 1 for me. Literally the star of the show imho. Best cast ever.
Ciri: The actress is fine and doing a great job but I had the impression that the Ciri I knew (game 3 and card game) would be a bit older than her, kind of confused me a little bit. Maybe she is growing up in the next season? (I guess I only know adult Ciri from Witcher 3 game)
So I'm curious what you all think! Tell me!
Edit: Note to Yennefer: I absolutely love her - the actress is P E R F E C T imho. Can't stop appreciate her appearance as Yennefer.
