Or ask for a replacement controller. Worked for me. I also send my bug log to the support and eventualy right before new year they made 2.5 that seems to work. Also if you have more than one controller or other units connected to ur 4 pins molex plugin cable then dont connect more then 1 box pr power cable. This also seems to work. Im still testing but i was given this advise from support. So now i have 2 boxes with each ther own 4 pin power cable and nothing else. Or 1.4.4 version also works. r/thermaltake on Reddit: TT RGB PLUS CONTROLLER NOT RECOGNIZED?
January 23, 2022 -

For all of you out there who might have issues with the TT RGB Plus software not recognizing your controller (Especially you with an AMD CPU)

Here is a link for the 1.3 version of the software https://file.thermaltake.com/file/software/TTRGBPlus_Setup_133_x64.zip

This is one of the most stable versions, according to reddit.

Once you download it, make sure you disable automatic updates

Unplug your controller from the PSU molex connector (FROM THE CONTROLLER'S END) while the software is open, then plug it back in, it should recognize it now.

Then go to Task Scheduler (search it on the Windows search bar on your task bar) Find the task associated with the software (most likely named TT RGB Plus) and disable it by right clicking and selecting "disable"

Hopefully this will help you all.

Stay positive and faithful to the PC Master Race!

Hey guys!

Im new to watercooling, but I still went ahead and managed to complete my loop. However, when I opened my TT RGB plus I got the error: ''Can not detect controller, please check the Fan Controller is connected. (Error Code:H_0x0001).

Im not sure what it means, and how to fix it. I was also unable to sync it with my Razer Synapse.
My motherboard is MSI Tomahawk B450 MAX.

Any bit helps. Thanks a lot!

All connection have been rechecked and triple checked

Controller Cable is connected on motherboard USB 2.0 tried both pin connections on board

Dips are in default for one controller

Lights do have power and are in a rainbow affect

System Specs

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

AMD Ryzen 7 2700x

MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus

Please do not recommend MoshiMoshi0 It does not find the Port Identifier and I'm not a coder. If there was a full format then I might be able to use it but its done in bits and pieces I'll admit it's confusing. A working Gui would be better.

I was thinking about buy the MSI MAX ARGB any thoughts? Would it work in place of the TT controller?

In case there is a representative from Thermatake I woke up to no RGB lighting but fans still spinning. Removed and reconnect Molex cable and tried different Molex connections on PSU and still no RGB just fan spinning. The kit is a Riing Plus 12

Update: after two replacement hubs from TT they now work.

August 1, 2024 -

Hi,

i just installed my new Thermaltake TH360 V2 Ultra ARGB. Fan RGBs are working and the lcd display too. I can change the lcd-display image but i dont have any option to find a spot to change the fan RGBs. I also get following error: Can not detect controller, please check that the fan controller is connected.

a) How can i change the rgb of the fans? Is there anything wrong?
b) How can i change the roation of the lcd-image?

Bests,

To change the rotation of the image go to place in the software where you uploaded the image. You'll see the image in the box in the center of the screen, there's a pair of arrows off to the bottom right you.can use to rotate the image. Beyond that, best I can tell the software just kind of sucks. To control the colors of the RGB lights I ended up using my motherboard software, in my case MSI's Mystic Lighting. Playing around in the TT software I was able to change the colors a little bit, just click through the headers in the software and you should find it. Options were pretty limited though and I had zero luck syncing my TT fans with my other components like RAM, SATA drives etc. To solve the "Controller not found" issue I think you have to buy the TT RGB controller and install it in your PC. I didn't want to go that route so I just used my mobo software since that solved the issue for me. Maybe someone else will chime in who knows the software better than I, I didn't have much luck with it even though I'm usually pretty good at figuring out that kind of stuff, overall it just didn't seem very user-friendly. Google searches I did just resulted in people complaining about the same issues I was having with no real resolution. Also, I kept losing my uploaded image every time I powered on my PC. But all I have to do is open up the TT software after it boots up and it sets the image back same as it was when I powered it up, and I can then close out the software. Annoying but I guess I can live with that. Will definitely be remembering all this headache with the TT software when picking out parts for my next build though.

That AIO is “ARGB” meaning it doesn’t use a controller. It talks directly with the motherboard. Download your motherboards ARGB software. You only need TTRGBPLUS for the LCD screen.

August 27, 2020 -

Please save me before I throw my entire Thermaltake PC out the window. You don't even have to save me, save my computer for the love of God.

As title says, fan controller not being read by the software. I have done research on the web and this subreddit to find a solution but have come up empty handed (past 3 days i have done about 4 hours of research and maybe a little less than 3 hours of trial and error, not including the time it took to reinstall the controllers-see below).

I have (6) total Riing Plus fans, (3) are on the front of the case, and the remainder are on the radiator mounted on the top (Floe Riing RGB 360). I was sick of having (2) controllers for the RGB Software, which honestly worked wonders. I installed both controllers and it worked right off the bat. Played with the RGB. At that moment. So I was going to buy more fans and use the addressable RGB, buy the (9) fan controller hub etc etc etc. I bought it, found out my MB was NOT compatible, tossed it in my box of spare components.

I went to reinstall the original (2) controllers (exactly like i had before) and now the software is not detecting them (could not find pos fan controller..........error code:H_0x0001). I have tried the following:

-switching the controllers between the fans

-ensuring the dip switches numbering the controllers are not the same

-separating the controllers on two different molex power cables

-uninstalling/reinstalling the software while unplugging/replugging the fans/power into the controller

Any suggestions? I'm at a loss for words, and ideas, to make the software read the controllers. I also have (3) more fans sitting in the mail room right now, but am hesitant on even opening them. I was going to use them for a push/pull on the radiator. Now all I want to use them for are paper weights. Would be cool to have unicorn like paper weights.

I just want to control my damn rainbow..
