I recently upgraded my build and moved the V250 stock RGB fans as exhausts. The three fans are plugged into the controller, the controller is being powered via SATA, and the "E" ARGB cable is plugged into a JRAINBOW header on my motherboard. I cannot seem to get the fans to be recognized by any RGB software, including TT RGB PLUS. I have never gotten these fans to be controlled via the motherboard, as previously my old motherboard did not have an ARGB header. I am really at a loss as to what to do so I can control fan speeds and color via software. Does anyone have a fix for this?

I bought a cooler master fan controller and I first off noticed I can’t unplug fans from the stock board. The connectors don’t look like 5 volt and there is no pwm. Do I need to plug the board onto the cooler master controller or what?
For all of you out there who might have issues with the TT RGB Plus software not recognizing your controller (Especially you with an AMD CPU)
Here is a link for the 1.3 version of the software https://file.thermaltake.com/file/software/TTRGBPlus_Setup_133_x64.zip
This is one of the most stable versions, according to reddit.
Once you download it, make sure you disable automatic updates
Unplug your controller from the PSU molex connector (FROM THE CONTROLLER'S END) while the software is open, then plug it back in, it should recognize it now.
Then go to Task Scheduler (search it on the Windows search bar on your task bar) Find the task associated with the software (most likely named TT RGB Plus) and disable it by right clicking and selecting "disable"
Hopefully this will help you all.
Stay positive and faithful to the PC Master Race!
I have a Thermaltake V200 TG RGB and z370-a pro and I don't know how to control the RGB light. Anyone can explain it to me? I tried to download Dragon Center, but the fans are not shown there.
I'm trying to daisy chain 3 controllers. Controller1: has 3 riing quad fans and TT DP100-d5 so 4/5 channels used. Controller one is connected to motherboard directly. It is then daisy chained to controller 2. Controller 2: has 3 Riing Fans and then daisy chained to Controller 3. Controller 3 has 4 riing fans. Controller 1 is using same molex wire as TT DP100-d5. Controllers 2 & 3 are connected to same molex cable. PSU I am using is TT toughpower GF3 1200W. I'm using latest TT RGB plus software.
Only controller 1 is being recognized. At one point all three were recognized but on computer restart, reverted back to only one being recognized.
Thanks I'm tired of rainbow vomit.
Hi there.
I own the Commander C33 TG ARGB Edition case which has 2x200 front fans and they were controlled via the RGB button on the front panel of the case.
After upgrading my motherboard I have decided that I wanted to control the fans via software but seems like my motherboard does not have a VDG header. I had it running on the D_LED header and it was working (lightning, colour change and etc) via RGB fusion (I have a Gigabyte motherboard)
However, since the header was not meant for it fans would randomly light up or change colours even though I keep the fan lighting off almost all the time.
My issue is the following: Since I got annoyed with the random lightning issues and so on I have removed the VDG cable from the motherboard but I'm now lost where to plug it in.
At first, my case fans would only be solid white colour but I did unplug and plugged everything on the built-in controller and now my fans are spinning but lightning is gone. The front panel RGB button does nothing as well. I am pretty sure that SATA is connected because the fans are spinning at full speed as usual.
I will be leaving two images below so you can determine if anything is plugged in incorrectly.

Even though I am not a big fan of RGB itself for a showcase I like to have my fans turned on. I also own 3x fans from CoolerMaster and wanted to have all 5 fans with matching colours.
If I won't be able to fix this issue I might consider selling these fans and switching to another brand with proper RGB controllers.
Thanks.
Hey, I recently rebuilt my PC and added a couple more TT RGB Plus products to my case in the process.
My case has had 5 Riing Plus RGB fans plugged into the 5 port controller that comes with this 3 pack: https://www.thermaltake.com/riing-plus-12-rgb-radiator-fan-tt-premium-edition-3-fan-pack.html
I also have upgraded my RGB fittings from the original non addressable version to the Plus version: https://www.thermaltake.com/pacific-rgb-plus-tt-premium-edition-g1-4-petg-tube-16mm-od-12mm-id-fitting-6-pack-fittings.html
I have also switched to this CPU cooler, which has no issues being detected in TT RGB Plus software 2.0.5: https://www.thermaltake.com/pacific-mx2-ultra-cpu-waterblock.html
For reference I had no issues with TT RGB Plus 1.0 software and my 5 Riing Plus Fans + the OG Pacific RGB fittings for years. Once I rebuilt my PC and added the above TT products, I started having these issues.
The first time I turned on my PC after rebuilding, I booted up TT RGB Plus 2.0.5. I saw my original 5 fan controller but not the new controller for the fittings (plus an additional Riing Plus fan I had). I tried rearranging how the controllers were connected and ever since that first boot I cannot detect ANY of my controllers. I have read the past posts here about this and tried only connecting one of the controllers, having only 1 controller per Molex rail, disconnecting and reconnecting everything.
Here is how I have it connected to my PC currently:
USB Header -> Pacific MX2 Ultra CPU block & RGB Plus Fitting Controller
USB Header -> 5 port RGB Controller
I have tried the daisy chain connector, with the micro usb end plugged into the 5 port controller. It seems that the older controller doesn't have the port for this newer cable to be connected the other way around. I am open to any suggestions here, I would hate to have half my RGB not even on. I know many of you are unfortunately very knowledgeable when it comes to dealing with TT RGB Plus software issues, and your help much appreciated. Please ask if you need pictures or more information. Thanks!
Hey there, I have a Thermaltake Sync Controller TT Premium Edition with 6 Riing Plus fans in my case connected via 3 pin header on my mainboard. According to the setup video it should be identified as a device with a yellow triangle. Sadly there is no such device there and instead I have to add the connected devices over the mainboard entry in SignalRGB.
Is there a way for that hub to be recognized, since the smaller cheaper TT controller was already shown to work in the video?
Would appreciate any help.
