This subreddit always has the best recs! I'm looking for an inexpensive twin mattress and was wondering if you had recs for IKEA foam or memory foam mattresses? I don't want to do latex since I have a latex allergy and I'll sometimes be sleeping on it too.
I was thinking of IKEA morgedal or Matrand, but open to other suggestions!

I think morgedal is the one we have! It was the firmest one I could find for a floor bed. Within the model you can also choose firmness and we chose the firmest option. Been using it for about 9 months now and we cosleep. Both my husband and I are very happy with it! We do however have a 120 cm wide one, which is wider than an American twin but not quite as big as a double/full.

We have a full/double mordegal for our toddler's bed - also chose the firmest option. He sleeps great on it, it's been about 6 months and it's holding up well. It's also not terrible on the days when we've needed to cosleep (a bit firmer than I'd prefer, but still comfy).

I'm looking for recommendations for 5" mattress (preferably foam) that will be mostly comfortable for adults (weights from 150 - 200 lb) who prefer medium firm to firm mattress. We recently bought the Utaker Stackable Twin from Ikea for our guest room with the idea that they will eventually transition to kid beds for our 4 year old and new baby due in September. I'd like to get a couple of decent mattresses for family who will be coming to help out with the new baby next month.
Any recommendations?

We bought the Bear Trundle Mattress. They're a little bit tight, but totally safe and usable. My 180 lb 73 year old father slept on it and said it was very comfortable. Both my spouse and I have taken naps on them and found them to be comfortable. They were firm, but comfortable for stomach/back sleepers.

We actually did the same thing with the Utaker setup; super handy for kid rooms and guests! For a memory foam twin mattress, we went with the Lucid 5" firm gel option, and it surprised us. It’s firm enough for adults (my dad is 190lbs and said it felt totally fine), but still comfy for littles down the line. Plus, the gel foam helped keep it a bit cooler, which our guest room desperately needed. Price-wise, it didn’t break the bank either. Congrats on the new baby, btw—exciting times! 👶

5 inches is tough for adults. I had a very similar setup for guests last year with stackable frames. What we did then was two Walmart Mainstays twins (6 inches), then added two two inch memory foam pads on top. Was surprisingly fine for occasional sleeping, but not amazing and won't hold up honestly. Its a cheap spring thing that feels like a nursury bed ish but with a foam topper it covers over this fact. We put mattress riser feet under these short frames to make it feel like a more normal bed. That said, a better option for adults could be to do 10 inch mattresses and just stack them high when not in use (and don't have people sit on them when stacked high). Buy them cheap enough that you could swap out if you need to get a thinner one when your kids move into the beds. Costco has a 2 pack Comfort Tech 10 inch foam mattress for $460 online. Brooklyn Bedding 10 inch Standard on Walmart is approx $200 each. I have a queen of this and is better than the list price, although unfortunate that the twin and queen are the same price. 6 inches of foambymail hd36-r or similar is $77 each. I haven't tried this myself, and is low key a little DIY.

All adult beds are normally 200 cm long, but you can maybe find 210 or 220 if you’re lucky. Some have full width box springs and others have two 70, 80 or 90 cm box springs with a single thin mattress on top.
