i got tired of my set up of having to set 2 different reminders for do date and due date which is such a hassle and was told that things 3 has the ability to set both in one task.
i’m a pharmacy major who has different types of outputs per class and different types of assessments so i want to be able to organize that too cause it’s definitely overwhelming.
do you recommend things 3 for students? what are its perks and how do you use it?
is there a calendar view? what views are available?
From where I live, it’s $61.11 converted including taxes, so want to know if there I might be a possibility of getting a deal on this. Thank you for your time
Hey guys and gals,
I'm currently still with Wunderlist but its time is coming to an end. I'm planning to switch back to iPhone and am currently using a Mac and an additional iPad.
I'm considering buying things 3 for all platforms. My worry is though, since things 3 is an old app since it's been around for many years now, that the timing for buying the complete suite could be bad. Since its an old app there could come a release for things 4 apps in some time (with "old" I'm not meaning, that the app is not getting constant overhauls and new updates - just that they could not monetize on their early user base in some years now ).
This happened to me once with the Goodnotes app for iPad and only a few months after my purchase they released Goodnotes 4 which one had to buy again... Or there could be a soon switch to a subscription model. Many companies switching to the subscription model and I could image culture-code to do the same. If such a thing happens I would rather not spend almost 100 dollars on the things suite right now.
What are your thoughts about that?
Greetings
EDIT: I got confused with things 2 which was way older. Things 3 just released in 2017 so it should have at least 1-2 years left I guess.
Things 2 was around since before 2012, so I think that 4 will be around for the same length of time, so there should not be any worries of buying it now. I would be pretty dismayed if Things went subscription - I use it mainly because I don't have to pay a monthly fee, something I avoid doing as I don't have too much money.
Things 4 has over three years left in it I believe, but you could always contact the devs and see what they have to say.
I don’t think they’ll go with a sub next.
When Things 3 launched all Things 2 users got a discount for upgrading.
All I can say is this: Just get Things 3. Best GTD app / to do app on the market. Smooth graphics, feels good to use and, well, it is simply amazing.
Things 3 is now €7.99
