Lots of issues with USB-C dock Gen 2. What is your experience?
Thinkpad USB-C Dock Gen 2 issues
Hi,
Does it stay on for a bit and then flicker? You also might see a Thunderbolt icon in the taskbar that you can right click on Allow the permissions for the docking station there. It will specify network/video etc. I would also recommend using the Lenovo Vantage app from the Microsoft Store to check for drivers.
I have also seen that if you plug the USB-C cable into the other USB-C port that you didn't use last time, it will need permissions again using that port.
If those things don't work I would recommend reaching out to Lenovo. Their support isn't that bad and I have seen a few of those docks by faulty.
Good luck.

We use a lot of USB-C docks Gen 2 in the office with two monitors connected. And everyday there is request from the users complaining either one monitor not being detected or sometimes both of them. The workaround is try to re-connect the laptop to the docking. Usually after couple of attempts it helps. Sometimes the laptop needs to be restarted. I've tried to update all the drivers, BIOS and docking firmware. Can't seem to find what is the reason for this constant problems with the monitors. BTW, even if monitors are not detected LAN stays connected. So kind of the laptop detects the docking, it is just monitors remain off as if there is not laptop connected. Any ideas what can be done?
