If you value lightweightness then yeah its definitely worth it. Otherwise T/L/E series will give you more bang for the buck. The x1 carbon is more expensive but give more premium things here and there More on reddit.com

January 18, 2025 - As a Copilot+ PC, the 13th generation X1 Carbon offers full Windows Hello ESS capabilities via its webcam and fingerprint reader, the latter of which is a key-like unit between the Copilot and arrow keys on the keyboard. Both were fast and mostly reliably, though I did experience multiple failures with the camera after waking up the laptop, forcing me to use another form of authentication. It was hit or miss. As is typical these days, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon is made using a wide range of recycled materials, and the device is both user serviceable and repairable.

Hello! I'm currently majoring in CS and thinking of buying a new laptop since my Acer Aspire can't handle some softwares we are using at university ( for reference I already had this laptop upgraded and fix many times but it keeps on performing sucks so I decided to just buy a brand new instead. ) and my choices so far are Macbook, Acer Nitro, and Lenovo ThinkPad but people everywhere from reddit, facebook, and tiktok loves ThinkPad and I have never heard anything bad about it ( I was even surprised people are against Macbook )
So is ThinkPad worth is worth it for programming, editing, and maybe a little bit of Games? + I find the price range okay since it is within my budget. Thank you much!

If you value lightweightness then yeah its definitely worth it. Otherwise T/L/E series will give you more bang for the buck. The x1 carbon is more expensive but give more premium things here and there

About what generation are you talking? The X1 carbons are uktrabooks and they are quite good. A T Series will always be cheaper, but also slightly thicker and heavier. What generation are you looking at? The new gen 13 is a huge leap in performance and battery runtime, but they are also quite expensive.
