It is not uncommon for foreigners to pronounce "dreißig" (30) as if it were spelled "dreizig" in analogy with "zwanzig", "vierzig" etc.
Is the pronunciation "dreizig" also common among native German speakers?

Here's a sound clip with a Danish actor who otherwise speaks German quite well, but nevertheless pronounces the word as "dreizig".

Same reason as why it's thirty and not threety in English.

z and ß in German have the same origin. It's simply t having gone through the 2nd consonant shift. So the ß/z is a direct equivalent of the t in twenty. I am not 100% sure why there is ß in "dreißig" and z in the others but I have a pretty good guess: ß can't start a syllable in German, but it can connect two syllables. Since "drei" ends in a vowel, it is actually possible to have an ß in dreißig, because that ß essentially links the ei to the following i. In the other words like zwanzig, vierzig, etc., the first part ends in a consonant, so ß is impossible and only z works.

Note that "β" is a Greek beta, not a "ß". Yes, they look similar, but especially for a native speaker the difference is very noticeable. If you don't have the ß-symbol, you can always write it as "ss" instead.
