December 7, 2023 - I am not really sure what I am doing but it worked. I had to add an extra record, as mentioned in this page that I share. That solved it. Under the @ records I added a TXT with TTL:300 and in the data field I used the code that Squarespace gives you with a lot of letter and numbers (under host, type CNAME).

How long ago did you add them? I think it can take up to a day to be picked up. Have you tried doing a DNS query and confirming that the records are active (and look correct)? More on reddit.com
SquareSpace Domain forwarding
Came here looking for this – some friends have a business website on Squarespace, running fine for years set up with domain/DNS at another provider (Vodien), then ~38 hours ago (without any discernible action on their part) it's dropped config or connection or something and just shows: This website is pending domain owner verification All looks okay both sides to me, and they're waiting out the 72 hours but I'm wondering if there's not something else going on? Squarespace DNS settings page is showing 'Record not found' for the verification CNAME, and there's a strange dangling IPV6 address there also. EDIT: Sorry, deleted comments are me, Reddit swore post had errored out when it had actually posted. 🤦♂️ More on reddit.com
Newbie here, bought a domain using Google Workspace, now how do I access. I don't even know If I own the domain or not, should I use GoDaddy or any other registrar.
Google no longer is a registrar. Squarespace is the registrar of record now for domains created on Google Workspace. Follow these instructions to log into Squarespace using google social login on your gsuite identity under your new domain. If it is confusing just follow the instructions for "dont have a squarespace account" and all will become clear. https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/17131164996365-About-the-Google-Domains-migration-to-Squarespace More on reddit.com
Domain Verification Failure
If you are talking about the "new" domain having been through the acquisition process to now "belong" to Squarespace, that happened almost 14 months ago. If your domain name billing cycle was only for a year, then you could have missed a billing change last month, and your domain "may" be suspended. Have you tried logging on to your Squarespace account to verify its status, and is Squarespace still the registry "owner" of record for your domain? BTW. Has it really taken 14 months to get the "new" domain verified? More on reddit.com
