For super nice food at phenomenal price try out Born and Raised for Happy Hour. M-f 3-430 you’ll not have to make a reso (which can be a 6-8 week wait) and you can eat the entire happy hour menu for only around 100$. Phenomenally beautiful views. It’s the most unique speakeasy experience I’ve ever seen. Located inside the original gastopub in san diego (neighborhood) it offers 3 unique cocktail experience and champagne. All tailored to your “tastes.” I’ve gone 15 times and never had the same drink. March is Spring Break time, so try to plan to come in the middle of the week to avoid the crowds. Feeding the sea lions is super fun for young kids, I recommend that. Also, do the outdoor exhibits earlier in the day, then indoor things (shark encounter, wild arctic, penguins) later in the day to stay out of the sun. there’s great views of the bay in the back of the park and it’s pretty quite so it’s a great place to take a few minutes and let the kiddos have a quieter moment.
