The time module
The time module allows the user to directly get the time, in seconds, since 1970 (See: https://docs.python.org/3/library/time.html). This means that we can subtract the time before from time after to see how long it has been, namely how long it took the user to finish the typing test. From there, it is as easy as printing the result. You can round the time using int to get a purely seconds result without milliseconds.

The simplest way would be to simply loop for the required number of minutes, and "sleep" for one minute before the next loop. Here is an example counting down in seconds: from time import sleep def countdown(num): for n in range(num, 0, -1): print(n) sleep(1) print("Blast off!") While this may be accurate enough for a few loops, it will run a little bit slower than intended, because each loop takes a little over 1 second (sleep for 1 second + time to print + time to loop). The error is cumulative, so the timer will gradually get later the more times that it loops. To avoid this potential issue, you need to use the same time reference for every loop.
