My disappointments with vac mops stems from the clean up. I have pets, so if I don’t dry vacuum first, I’ll have a wet hairy mess to deal with when I clean the machine, I also prefer to dry vacuum the dry soil up before mopping because I don’t trust the vac mops to completely pick up the dirty water after the soil on the floor has been wetted. So, that eliminates the supposed benefit of combining both actions at once. The next issue is, even if I eliminate the time it takes to pre-vacuum from consideration, the time it take to prepare, use, clean and disassemble for drying, is much longer, takes more effort, and is messier than just using my cheap O’Cedar/Vileda spin mop. September 2, 2019 - I bought the s3 from Costco a few weeks ago for 349 and it came with a handheld cordless tineco vacuum which is awesome. So far I’m very impressed with the S3. The only issue I have with it is that it sometimes takes a while for the floors to completely dry on their own which brings me to something else. In the app I saw there was an option to add the Floor One “S5”. I didn’t see an S5 on Tineco website but after a google search I found a leaked user manual for an upcoming update to the S3 called the S5.

Our Tineco Floor ONE S3 Review - Better Than Bissell Crosswave?
August 12, 2024 - Overall verdict? I’ve been using the Tineco Floor ONE S3 for a few weeks now and overall I’m very happy with it. I don’t think I’d want to use it to pick up eggs and yucky foods very often, but it handled it well. For day-to-day cleaning, it does a great job and I love that I can run through the entire downstairs of my house in about 15-20 minutes or less and have a clean AND dry floor without streaks!

We saw this at our local Costco yesterday for $349, it comes with a small handheld vacuum as part of a combo. Kind of like this : https://store.tineco.com/products/tineco-floor-one-s5-combo-cordless-lightweight-smart-wet-dry-vacuum-cleaner but the one at Costco is the "S3" and not the "S5".

Anyone know much about this vacuum? I tried looking here but didn't quite find anything.

I already have a Miele C3 Calima, but we have exclusively hardwood floors [mixture of real wood (living room) + Luxury Vinyl Plank (kitchen)] in our home.

It would be nice to get something that does mopping.

Tineco Floor One S3 Hard Floor Vacuum/Mop Review | Vacuum Wars
We’re impressed with the Tineco Floor One S3 vacuum/mop in many ways. We think it’s really best for homes with mostly or all hard flooring. As a vacuum, the Floor One S3 does really well with debris pickup on all kinds of hard flooring but we would only use it on carpeting in very limited doses.

r/VacuumCleaners on Reddit: Tineco iFloor 3 vs iFloor S3 Breeze differences?
September 8, 2025 -

Greetings. I am looking to pick up a wet/dry floor cleaner (using a separate machine for my area rugs) and I kind of have it narrowed down to these two models.

Is the only difference the fact that one talks to you (the S3 breeze) vs the regular 3. IE do they have the same cleaning capabilities? One is $189 (Wallmart) and the S3 is $269 (Amazon).

Thanks!

I have laminate and tile floors. Also, I found some info and it seems the breeze is a smaller unit....for my needs I am probably better off with the larger unit. Since I am buying a separate carpet cleaner...and it has been my experience that these wet dry floor cleaners don't last very long, my budget is $250.

r/VacuumCleaners on Reddit: Can someone explain the different models of Tineco mop vacuum to me?
September 14, 2024 -

Hey there! Mom of two toddlers and 4 dogs with LOTS of hair. My brain is MUSH trying to figure out all the different series and models of Tineco.

Can someone please explain the difference S series and then all the different models?

I have quite a bit of LVP and tile in my house (5,000 sq) so I need something that can make it through large areas and also not damage my flooring while making cleaning easy.

How do you decide what model is the best fit for your home?

S3 - Auto mode - regulates solution and suction based on how dirty the floor is, talks to you about what mode it is in and when the tank is full, charges by plugging cord directly into the back, has a self cleaning cycle. S5 - Same as S3, but bigger water tanks, more information on the display, better edge cleaning on one side, more advanced self-cleaning feature. There is an S5 Blue model that includes a base that the charging cord plugs in to (so the cord can stay put), S7 Pro - Same as S5 plus bigger tanks, better edge cleaning on both sides, bigger display, wheels are powered for easier use, base included. S7 Steam - Same as S7 Pro but does not use cleaning solution - cleans and sanitizes with steam. also a bigger tank, base included. These are all sold as a one step floor solution - vacuum and mop at once. And, you can do that. But the more debris you pick up, the bigger mess you have cleaning out the tank and filters. That is such a yucky mess, that I now vacuum first (which does a better job anyway), and then use the mop. For me, that is less work and time that dealing with all the pet hair and stuff clogged in the mop. In my opinion, the S5 comes out as a really good value - it ticks a lot of boxes. As you go up the line you do get nice capabilities like even bigger tanks and better edge cleaning - but the price jumps up dramatically. That being said, the S7 Steam is actually around $200 cheaper than the S7 Pro, so that model is giving you steam cleaning without pricing up in the stratosphere. Note - if you are in the US, there should be an Amazon Prime Day sale coming up in October. These are often discounted then. And other retailers (Walmart, Best Buy) often match those prices. And then of course Black Friday is a month after that.

A word of caution. These vac mops are disposable toys. I totally get the perceived convenience. Just know you’ll be throwing it away in about 18 months or so. They really are terrible. A quality corded/bagged dry vac and a mop and bucket is still the gold standard after all these years regardless of what marketing departments try to tell us.
