S5 - Same as S3, but bigger water tanks, more information on the display, better edge cleaning on one side, more advanced self-cleaning feature. There is an S5 Blue model that includes a base that the charging cord plugs in to (so the cord can stay put), S7 Pro - Same as S5 plus bigger tanks, better edge cleaning on both sides, bigger display, wheels are powered for easier use, base included. S7 Steam - Same as S7 Pro but does not use cleaning solution - cleans and sanitizes with steam. also a bigger tank, base included. These are all sold as a one step floor solution - vacuum and mop at once. And, you can do that. But the more debris you pick up, the bigger mess you have cleaning out the tank and filters. That is such a yucky mess, that I now vacuum first (which does a better job anyway), and then use the mop. For me, that is less work and time that dealing with all the pet hair and stuff clogged in the mop. In my opinion, the S5 comes out as a really good value - it ticks a lot of boxes. As you go up the line you do get nice capabilities like even bigger tanks and better edge cleaning - but the price jumps up dramatically. That being said, the S7 Steam is actually around $200 cheaper than the S7 Pro, so that model is giving you steam cleaning without pricing up in the stratosphere. Note - if you are in the US, there should be an Amazon Prime Day sale coming up in October. These are often discounted then. And other retailers (Walmart, Best Buy) often match those prices. Hey there! Mom of two toddlers and 4 dogs with LOTS of hair. My brain is MUSH trying to figure out all the different series and models of Tineco.
Can someone please explain the difference S series and then all the different models?
I have quite a bit of LVP and tile in my house (5,000 sq) so I need something that can make it through large areas and also not damage my flooring while making cleaning easy.
How do you decide what model is the best fit for your home?

A word of caution. These vac mops are disposable toys. I totally get the perceived convenience. Just know you’ll be throwing it away in about 18 months or so. They really are terrible. A quality corded/bagged dry vac and a mop and bucket is still the gold standard after all these years regardless of what marketing departments try to tell us.

I had an old cheap cordless vacuum that just stopped working. I want to upgrade but it’s hard to find information comparing updated models of wet/dry or normal cordless vacuums.
I definitely want cordless
I own a shark steam mop but figured a wet dry would allow me to sell my mop
I live in small apartments, mainly hardwood, but not much surface area to clean
I move very often which is why I thought a wet dry instead of a separate vacuum and mop would be best
no pets or kids so not huge messes to clean, mainly trying to vacuum hair and dust
I have really long hair and hate when it gets tangled in the vacuum brush, not sure how that would effect either product
I’m mainly confused; if wet dry vacuums work great, why is anyone still buying normal Dyson vacuums with a separate mop? What’s the hang up?

Vacuum/Mop Combos are primarily mops. Most Vac/Mops can't even dry vacuum carpets, they are really wet mopping all of the time. Say you have just carpet in one room, well most wet/mops won't be able to vacuum it. Also most vac/mops only clean hard floors, they have no hose or tools for stairs, dusting, couches, or cars. Vac/mops comes with a lot of drawbacks too. You have to wash and dry the parts after each use or you get odors and bacteria. Many vac/mops are cordless with fixed batteries so when the battery wears out in 1-2 years or has an issue the whole vac/mop is trash because you cannot replace the battery. So, vac/mops can replace your mop, but they aren't good enough to replace a regular vacuum yet. If you are trying to save space keep your steam mop or get a reusable spray mop. Also, if you don't want to replace a new cordless vacuum in 2-3 years when the battery wears out, you should check out small corded vacuums that can last 15+ years.

I thought mop/vac combo was an amazing idea. I have 2 toddlers so they're super messy. In a it was a handy tool to have around. They just don't do a good job. Not good and vacuuming and not good at mopping either. You have to clean and dry the components of the machine after every use or else they start to smell. It was a huge hassle. I got rid of it. I ended up getting a miele c1 for vacuuming and bissell spinwave for mopping. So much easier and my floors are cleaner
