Dwarf II Kickstarter - seems to be a project in search of a market?
Help buying a "grab-n-go kit"

Hi, since i was a very young boy, I was passionate about astronomy, and always wanted to have a telescope, now, when I'm 14, I saved money all year to buy my first telescope, I saved 300 dollars, and i don't want something that would disappoint me, so i found out about the tiny scope, Which is pretty cool for astrophotography, but i don't know if it is really good or not, or should i buy something else.
So i would like to know if someone has tried using tinyscope dwarf for astrophotography something diferent than the moon as im thinking of buying one of second hand
This kickstarter has far exceeded its goal. The video seems to mostly emphasize portability.

From a price perspective, they compare this to a DSLR with a lens on a star tracker. However, it seems like that is comparing apples to oranges. The sensor size of this is much smaller than an APS-C sensor. And using an algorithm (stacking orientation) to make up for field rotation in an alt/az mount means they will need to stick to shorter exposures than what can be achieved by a star tracker.
The video also shows how it can do daytime terrestrial photography, but then wouldn't this just be competing with a point and shoot zoom camera?
Just curious what others think about this project. In the first backer phase, it costs about the same as just a star tracker, but I worry that backers of this project are going to be disappointed.
Also.... The video shows a picture of the andromeda galaxy with "nebulae" text under it, though they do get this right on the description page of the kickstarter. They should probably fix the video.
