I’m a coordinator at a winners/homesense combo store and I’ve worked in various departments and time standards are absolute bs, whether for tanks/totes/clothing. I have to assume that the original numbers are extremely dated, are assuming that the associate working isn’t covering breaks, tidying as they work, flexing etc. Because I’m a coordinator I am very rarely called up to a register/fitting room, and even working at top speed I very rarely make time standards. I’m lucky my managers are so chill - recently two of them decided to test the time standards themselves by doing tanks uninterrupted until they were finished and they couldn’t do it either, so they’re very lenient with us as long as they can see we are visibly working. So much has changed in terms of processing/sensoring over the years, a beauty tank for example for me can take upwards of three hours, depending on recovery, customer interaction, etc. I think the standards should be re-evaluated and even then should really only be rough guidelines, it feels like the ones we have now are so far removed from reality and exist in an imaginary store that is always neat clean and properly staffed More on reddit.com

I just interviews at my local marshalls and first thing I noticed was the BLACK MOLD on their hvac vents and the ceiling around the vents. Cool cool. Additionally, she offered me the job Thursday morning and said I'd get an email to start my background check. Welp. It's end of business day Friday and I've recieved nothing. I checked they had the correct email and I checked my spam. Nothing. I dunno how I feel about this job offer anymore. More on reddit.com
