Not sponsored I swear. Today I ventured into TK Maxx for the first time because I had a shift in the other side of town. The whole concept is really dangerous to me, because I would get so excited about seeing a brand I liked ( Dr jart sheet masks!) that the items next to them suddenly became appealing (beauty blenders which I’d never use).
I noticed a lot of what I can only presume are own brand TK Maxx ( masses of polyester) and shein type brands. I also saw brands like Levi’s, Auguste, Polo and converse at great prices ( a denim jacket I recently paid $119 was only $45). Strangely they had racks of American Apparel which must have just been hanging around in a warehouse somewhere since the 2010’s. I got a pair of Abrand straight jeans for $30 and an oversized afends sweatshirt for $20. I did try on six (!) other items of brands I’d never tried but found weird fit / quality issues. The knitwear seemed to be the weakest section, almost entirely neon acrylic. I also scored skinstute skincare at only $16 a piece which I like but don’t buy regularly due to cost.
Is this an average trip for you? Any good steals? Or did I have beginners luck and shouldn’t bother again? It really felt like op shopping to me, which I do love but really the prices have crept up so much that the cost would be similar in my area.
