Regarding your second question: Opel and Vauxhall are both owned by the American company General Motors, so they pretty much have the same cars. However different brand names are better known in different countries - for example Opel in Germany, Vauxhall in the UK and Buick in the US, so the same car can have a different name in each country.

To my knowledge they are exactly the same store - TJ Maxx is the original US name which they changed to avoid confusion when they launched in the UK due to a (shitty) department store named TJ Hughes.

They're both awful soulless places full of relatively cheap designer label clothes. What more is there to know? That said, I suspect our 'deals' aren't as good as the TJ's, as clothes are well cheap over there, but there's still a bargain or two to be had.
