For me, I used this deal to upgrade 4 iphones, and it was “up to $800”. I’m on the Megenta Max plan., and upgraded 4 iphones (12’s and 13’s) to iPhone 16 by going to Apple directly. Trade-in values for the 4 phones were different cus of the different models, however the monthly cost after the promo will be $4.13 per month per phone. So I work for T-Mobile customer care and can promise you the promo is real and you do not have to make any account changes like a rate plan change nor add a line. Now every account is not eligible for it though. You’d have to call in and they can see if you have the targeted promotion, also to say this promotion is only available through customer care, I’ve attempted to send some customers to the stores, followed up with them, and store claims they don’t see the promotion. I’ve had luck with experience stores being able to get a customer the promotion if they are a targeted customer. Additionally you only pay sales tax, no activation/upgrade fee. So if you have good account finance credit, you’re only paying sales tax. This promotion is very real and has been going on a little over a month. Of course you have to turn in your device within the time frame and it not be a lost/stolen device but just about any phone you can trade in. Don’t listen to the users here claiming it moves you to another plan, cause it does not if you have this targeted promotion I can assure you 100% best bet is to call and see if you have it. I’ve traded in several devices to T-Mobile and never had an issue while I’ve tried to sell phones privately and it’s mostly been a nightmare. I’m sorry you had a bad experience but blindly telling people not to do the trade in, where often you can get the most value, is a poor suggestion. More on reddit.com
