There seems to be mixed opinions on the meaning of the song Getaway car throughout the fandom. I always interpreted the song as Taylor cheating on Calvin Harris with Tom Hiddleston to escape her toxic relationship with Calvin. Tom Hiddleston being the getaway car and they split because "nothing good starts in a getaway car". However i've some people interpret the meaning by saying that Joe ( Her current boyfriend) is the getaway car but how can their relationship be so good if "nothing good starts in a getaway car"? This is what I don't understand.

Another thing I don't understand is the meaning of Gorgeous. People automatically assume 'Gorgeous' is about Joe Alwyn but to me that doesn't make sense. Taylor sings "I've got a boyfriend he's older than us, he's in the club doing idk what" which sounds like a reference to Calvin Harris. But Taylor supposedly cheats on Calvin with Tom making me wonder if Gorgeous is actually about Tom Hiddleston? Idk let me know what you think, I might be missing a HUGE part of the story

Given the fact that she was willing to become friends with Taylor Lautner (who was always very gracious), do you think we have even a small chance that Tom Hiddleston would be willing to play a part in Getaway Car? I think they were pretty amicable, and Tom has always been gracious about Taylor as well.

And if he is cast in Getaway Car, what character and storyline would he play?

I’ll go first — I see them in the old timey heists (1920s) with the outfits, dive bars, vintage cars. Almost a little Gatsby. Taylor thinks she’s about to be betrayed, so she betrays Tom first. Maybe some sort of nod to the Green Light in The Great Gatsby. A light of hope which goes out at the end.
