Favorites Fantasia - The film that perfectly encapsulates what Disney is all about for me. The Lion King - Amazing music, epic scope, lovable characters and top notch animation, it has it all! Pinocchio - Truly wonderful and breathtaking, especially for their 2nd animated feature ever! The Jungle Book - Probably my favorite Disney film as a kid, this film still stands up for me. The Hunchback of Notre Dame - Not perfect by any means, this is Disney at their boldest and I wish more of their films took as much chances as this one did. Also, the music is god tier! Tangled - I am shocked by how fantastic this movie is. It single-handedly brought back the magic of Disney for me in terms of their modern animated features. Fox and the Hound - This one also has a huge soft spot in my heart. A film that is both cute yet very poignant at the same time. I love the bear climax at the end as well. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves - Is it perfect by modern standards? In certain aspects, no it isn't. But in other aspects it VERY much is! But more so than any other film, this film was truly Walt's. It still makes me tear up even today and the music is wonderful. Dumbo - By far one of their most touching and emotional films, this film was the one that decided to cut the the corners in terms of animation technique and really dig deep into the meat and potatoes of whats important, the bond of a mother and her child. 101 Dalmatians - Another fantastic film that I have no qualms about popping into my blu-ray player and watching for old times sake. I love this movie and it has a great villain and climax! Least Favorite Dinosaur - The epitome of forgettable Disney movie. Wreck-It Ralph - Truly disappointing film in a lot of aspects for me, I think this was the film that played too hard on the traditional Disney formula to its own fault and it didn't really utilize it's video game theme that creatively. Atlantis - I don't know man, everyone seems to love this movie but it just seems like a really hollow experience for me whenever I try to watch it. Saludos Amigos - Does everything that "Three Caballeros" did, but worse. Pocahontas - Probably my least favorite of the Disney Rennaissance era, its just a straight up boring movie. I liked it as a kid, but it did not hold up for me as an adult. The Black Cauldron - Ik, people love this movie as well, but this one has the same problems that Atlantis had for me. It just felt hollow and its a film that's really tough for me to get invested in. Treasure Planet - Cool designs and setting does not always make for a great picture. Clearly lot of time and money went into it, but I always leave going "Meh" by the end of it. Melody Time - I cannot even remember watching this film. Man, WW2 did not benefit the Disney studio at all during that time. Aristocats - I know you all love this movie, but for me personally, it doesn't do much for me. Hercules - A movie that has a great villain and soundtrack, yet everything else seems extremely mediocre or by the numbers. More on reddit.com
