I just remembered that a family member has a "Top Gun" style leather bomber jacket that fits me and I could probably wear it if I wanted to. It's not just like the one in the picture, but similar: brown leather, furry collar, lots of patches. I think it may have actually been a movie prop.
Anyway, what are your thoughts on wearing it non-ironically? I don't want to look too much like a Tom Cruise wannabe, but is there any other way to wear this than with jeans and a white t-shirt (and aviator sunglasses)?

Wearing something like that makes a huge statement.. a statement that you just don't ever want to make. I wouldn't wear it seriously.
