I was driving around 60 km/h in a 50 km/h zone with a speed camera without realizing it. I only noticed the camera across the street at the last second. Last July, I got a ticket within a week, but this time, it's been over two weeks, so I'm hoping I might luck out. However, my colleague recently got a ticket after about a month and a half. Does anyone know how long it usually takes for tickets to arrive these days? Thanks in advance.

They have 23 days (business days do not include weekends) to verify images and then send out violations. So you should in theory receive a ticket within 2 to 4 weeks. However, some speed cameras are only operational during certain time frames (eg. School hours, rush hour, etc) so it's technically not active the entire day. But it depends on the area and the settings for that specific camera. Once they've processed your vehicle images (plate, etc) and received confirmation of information from the ministry they send out a ticket. It is deemed served 7 days after its been mailed.
