It depends on how badly the losing Registrar drags their feet. When I transferred away from Gandi it was basically as soon as I responded to the transfer emails. When I transferred away from Namecheap they purposefully waited the maximum amount of time they were given before releasing the domain. More on reddit.com

Google Workspace was setup months ago with domain.com and verified through HostMonster with TXT info
I now want to transfer the domain.com ownership to Google so I can shut down my HostMonster account.
Google workspace isn’t showing an option to transfer a domain, just add a new domain. But the domain.com is already listed there as verified through Google Workspace
