Im trying to ship a telescope from the UK to Jordan and i've looked on many sites, parcelhero is very dodgy but i found a company called transglobal express and its suspiciously way cheaper. So if anyone has had experiences or knows if the company is legit or not it would be much appreciated
They seem to be a lot cheaper than the bigger company's(royal mail etc) they use USPS I believe. Since brexit I haven't sent anything outside of UK, I don't what myself or the buyer to be charged big fees. The item is a pair of shoes worth £100 ish. Any help is appreciated

Been using them since the royal mail cyber attack for US packages while RM clear the backlog (USPS smart mail option). Everything was going great, packages were arriving in under 10 days. Unfortunately two packages sent on the 9th haven't updated since the 14th when they arrived at a US facility.
Customer service told me they're having some delays and to give it a week, which it now has been. Everything else sent before and after is updating as normal.
Anyone else had delays like this with them?
Hi guys. I have recently opened up shipping to the US after being slightly intimidated by the whole process, I have come across someone who said they have been using a service known as 'TransGlobal Express' which use USPS to deliver orders from the UK to the USA.
Their rates seem pretty cheap compared to Royal Mail and others, first wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with them & if you have any advice.
I also wanted to know what the customs process would be to the US. My items are fairly small (100g large letter) and inexpensive (earrings) at a maximum value of £20 most of the time (including shipping costs), in the checkout of transglobal it says receiver pays DDU. i wasn't sure how the customs or tax would work, would my customer then be liable to pay to receive their package? Is there any threshold value where they'd be exempt or is it applicable to all values? I can't see an option here to pay the fees beforehand so if anyone uses this service would appreciate some advice, thank you.
Desperately looking for other ways to send large letters/packages abroad since it looks like the Royal Mail isn't any closer to sorting their shit out !
I'm giving Transglobal Express a go for my USA orders as its pretty well priced, but a bit much £ for any other country
For Europe Evri is looking like the best option .. which is making me nervous given that their website says they 'can't guarantee collection or delivery' 😅
Has anyone found anything better which is still affordable? Or has any experience with the ones I've mentioned?
Thanks! x
what do i do you guys? recently i’ve bought a used car. but the use car dealership that is shipping my car is using trans global logistic. i pray and hope to god that they are not absolutely scamming people because when i finished paying for the car i also payed a 800 dollar shipping fee so the car can get shipped from north carolina to california. but now idk what to do. i’m scared and excited at the same time because this is my first car and i hope that this is a real thing
After one too many parcels getting stuck indefinitely at Langley HWDC, and seeing how many people have parcels held up there, I’m looking to move away from Royal Mail and Parcelforce for outgoing international orders. My understanding is that RM and PF will always pass through the customs at Langley but other international couriers won’t.
I’ve had one good experience with UPS for a rush order, but besides that I have very little experience with couriers. I’ve also heard bad things about UPS, so…?
Looking to hear recommendations and experiences, specifically for international orders, please!
Hi all,
Finally got my head around Transglobal express towards the end of February and I will NEVER go back to RM for international ever again.
TG express are probably the best company I have ever used.
I just wanted to inquire as to how many of you have moved permanently away from Royal Mail with international post?
Makes me wonder how much of a hit they will take post cyber attack.
Has anyone tried to get re embursed?
Hi everyone.
I run an online shop and we don’t currently ship internationally but receive multiple requests a week about this.
To cut a long story short, we use Royal Mail to ship out our UK orders (business account/RM Tracked 24/ daily collection/ click and drop etc) which on the whole I’m happy with but the Click and Drop portal is a bit of a nightmare for foreign country shipments — I can’t find prices for anything (maybe I’m being thick though)
What carriers are you guys using for UK to USA shipments of 2kg and under and what kind of pricing are you achieving? Is your pricing based on meeting certain volumes of international shipments?
Any help greatly appreciated. I’m definitely leaving money on the table by not shipping internationally but it’s a bit daunting.
:-)
Hi,
The with the 29th aproaching I wanted to share some of the things I've collected regarding how i can continue shipping to the US, I've seen a lot of people either shipping as normal, but I've also seen a lot of people completely cutting off sales to the states, and I wanted to share how I'm doing it, and the resources I've found, It's also appreciated if you have any that you're willing to share with others.
Please also note that, unfortunately, things change so fast that information may change or be retracted at any moment.
Normally, I ship through Etsy and Royal Mail. As of now, Royal Mail has stated that items sent to the United States without the duties being paid will not enter the US. Link
Royal Mail will be introducing a way to pay the tariffs upfront, but at the moment, that will only be for their business accounts; however, it is going around (Can't confirm) that they will be introducing this with their click and drop service, but this won't be ready in time.
Because of this, I will be shipping my final packages with Royal Mail on the 18th.
SHIPPING OPTIONS
Now that I'm not shipping with Royal Mail, I have changed my shipping to Transglobal Express. (TGX) I've emailed them a couple of times, to which they've informed me that as of the 29th, I will be able to pay the tariffs and duties up front, and it will incur a 30p admin charge on top of the tariff and the price of postage. This has been the cheapest option for me so far, and what I will say is reliable in terms of delivery, as it comes with tracking, and I can send letters. The pricing for the delivery is a tad more than Royal Mail large letters, but again, it's the cheapest option I've found and has tracking.
However, I recommend not purchasing from them until the 29th and the option for DDP has been added, because if an item is sent, and is not in the country by the 29th, they will charge you the tariff rate after and will send you an invoice, which could leave you down $80 or so.
TGX also do free collections, so you won't be required to drop it off at a specified location; they can come to you!
Another place I've been recommended is Teleship. Now, I've only been able to figure out how to work with Shopify. TGX seems to have integrations with both Etsy and Shopify; however, I have yet to comment on how these work, as I haven't integrated yet, but I'm planning on doing so later today.
SETTING UP COSTS.
When it comes to costing this up, I am increasing my delivery charge, in line with TGX rates + 30p admin charge. I will then increase my items for international customers to a base rate of 10% + the HS code tariff.
For example, my stickers are under a tariff rate of 6.5% which means my stickers will see an increase of 16.5%.
I have also made adjustments for this on my Shopify as well, with my United States market, collection said tariff rate.
ETSY
At present, Etsy has said they are 'Fortifying Purchase Protection' to ensure that if an item arrives late, or if a customer refuses a package, the seller isn't at a loss. Link

Hopefully, this can help anyone looking to still ship to the States. Please just make sure you double-check everything. This is the one route I've found to work best for me. And if you think something has changed in the meantime, please drop a comment.
I have 35 book-boxes plus a few bags of clothes to ship. UK to US. A lot of stuff but then again, no furniture. Delivery in Montana must be reliable, but can be slow: 2 or 3 months is fine. Companies like SendMyBag appear good for smaller quantities shipped quickly, but are too expensive for a shipment of my size. Any ideas on a good company for this sort of slower job?
Ordered an item through ebay from UK on Jan 30th. I am in Toronto. Still nothing. Are the delays impacting this? What do I do? No tracking number. 50$ item.
Have one from 22nd Dec still sat at Heathrow heading to Canada so I wouldn't panic.
I sent something tracked with Transglobal Express to Canada, and it was stuck with the Canadian's courier service for over 2 weeks not moving. I contacted the depot and they couldn't find it. A week later it was miraculously delivered. My point is, don't think this is all down to Royal Mail because the delivery partners in other countries are just as likely to be piss poor.
Hello! I’ve had a small business for over a year now and it seems like 75% of my orders go to outside of the UK (primarily the US). I have been shipping all of my parcels with Royal Mail and use International Tracked and I’ve only very rarely had a bad experience however it’s costing £14.90 per 400g small parcel and I’m wanting to get my shipping prices down to encourage more orders from international customers. Are there any trusted options that are cheaper and also provide tracking for international orders? Thanks in advance! Also parcel services and companies that collect from your door would be great as I don’t drive!
Hi everyone,
I run a small ecommerce business that handles around 200–300 orders per month. So far, international shipping has been a major ballache—especially with customers in the US.
The two main issues we're facing are very long delays, and damaged items.
We're using Royal Mail Tracked for all orders, and they sometimes take 14 days just to reach the US, and often end up stuck in customs for 5 to 20 days. All customs documentation is filled out correctly.
On the damage front, we pack everything really well, but we've gotten pictures of damaged items from customers and it literally looks like they've been run over by cars. We've even bought extra tough packaging for international orders etc but a good chunk still get destroyed.
We'd use another courrier, but the quotes we've had from DHL/FedEx are £30+ per order, which is a bit much.
Would appreciate any insight from someone more knowledgeable in this area.
The Royal Mail costs too much even without tracking which is useless. Which service would you recommend to deliver such packages: 35x25x2 cm envelopes, 200-400 g, and 32x8x8 boxes, around 250 g? Or maybe there is some kind of a price aggregator/calculator to compare multiple carriers? Thanks in advance!
Hello! I moved to Brussels a few days ago and i have a small business making leather wallets. Most of my customers are from US and im wondering about some shipping options. I come from Croatia where postal service is somewhat reliable but at a cheap price of 8€ worldwide. Im looking for a cheaper reliable service if anyone knows. Most of my packages are a4 envelope with weight of around 100grams. With some of my items costing 70€ i cant really pay 50€ shipping. Is there some alternatives ? Bpost is asking 55€ with tracking and similarly FedEx, DHL with UPS being the cheapest at 40€.
