Specifically in the south Brooklyn area but willing to travel if it’s that good!
Story time: In bay ridge, there used to be a cute little clothing store on 86th st where they currently put Dave’s Hot Chicken. This place went through a few different names, but the most recent one before shutting completely down was called Revival. Now I loved this place because the clothes were trendy (unlike many of the other places on 86th now) and fairly affordable. Sure, they might not have been the best quality (you get what you pay for) but honestly I have a few tops from them still that I bought years ago and they’ve held up! I was so mad when they closed because pretty much every other boutique in that area is catastrophically expensive… I’ve looked at every little place I could find and it’s like $80 for a top. No shade, I’d totally spend the money if I had it but I don’t!
So I’ve resorted mainly to shopping online, but I’m honestly tired of it. It’s hard to tell what pieces I really like and I HATE having to return ship stuff, so I end up “making it work” with pieces I don’t actually love way more often than I’d like. Once in a while I’ll go to Atlantic Ave, Kings Plaza or even the SI Mall, but I feel like I’m really missing that small boutique feel as it’s very easy to get overstimulated in those huge shopping malls.
So, BWT, where in the diddly heck are we actually finding cute clothes in person without breaking the bank??? Or am I asking for too much? Lol
