I have to send in my claim check for Truist to endorse. I know this is a fairly standard practice, but customer service couldn't help me with withholding amount. I simply was told that Truist would endorse the check and overnight it back to me. I questioned them on that and they then explained if the damage was extensive enough that they would split it up, and payment would be possibly dependent on inspections.
I asked them at what amount does it require them to withhold it but they didn't know. And instead gave me a number to another department. The problem is I wasn't able to get through during my lunch break today so I thought I would ask here. Luckily I kind of knew that was how it worked though, so I am not shocked.
Has anyone dealt with this?
Hey! I was wondering how long it took for checks to be deposited if you scanned it through the app. I got the check as a graduation gift, and I scanned it on a Sunday, which isn’t a banking day. Was wondering if you guys know how long it usually takes. Thanks!
My landlord uses what is now Truist. For over a year I have been able to write a personal check with the last four #s of her account, her name and city. No problem.
This month they have started refusing unless I write her entire account number. She does not give her full account number out to any of her tenants. I talked to my neighbors (she owns three properties in my neighborhood) and Truist is letting them deposit with jusy the last four, no problem.
I called the Truist customer service line and (after a very long hold) they told me all their branches should take the check with that information.
It is now the 11th of the month, my rent is still not paid and the local Truist still refuses to take it. My landlord lives far away and I cannot take it to her personally.
My check has never bounced, the funds are always there. I can't figure out why they keep refusing to take it. My landlord is understandably wanting her money and I want her to have it. Does anyone here have any insights that might help me get this taken care of?
Update: Tried again on my lunch break at the very same branch. Different teller though. Took the payment no questioned asked, no grief given.
As the title says, the mobile app won't recognize my signature on the back of my check.
I've signed and endorsed it, and no matter how I take the picture or in what orientation it will not recognize it.
Someone please help.
