Hey! I was wondering how long it took for checks to be deposited if you scanned it through the app. I got the check as a graduation gift, and I scanned it on a Sunday, which isn’t a banking day. Was wondering if you guys know how long it usually takes. Thanks!
My Truist mobile deposits are no longer immediately available for free.
In the past, I didn't know how many immediate deposits I made for free; now, they want to charge me. What has changed? Thank you. I looked around and didn't even see a way to get these for free. Do I have to have a certain amount in my bank account? I'm not sure what changed. Thank you.
how long do mobile deposits usually take? I opened a account on the 28th and made a deposit on the 29th and they said it takes one business day it has been 3-4 days now and my mobile deposit is still pending is it because of the new years or the weekend or something i don’t know I just want my money
I regularly write checks to transfer money from my money market account to my Truist checking account. I deposited a check for 1000.00 and Truist has placed a hold on it. I called the issuing bank and they tell me the check has been debited and cleared and everything looks normal on their end. I am now on hold with the SECOND Truist representative (the first one placed me on hold then hung up after 5 mins.). I am currently going on 20 mins waiting for a supervisor. I deposited the check Feb 7th (mobile deposit...like I always do). They are trying to tell me the funds wont be released until the 16th of Feb. No one has been able to tell me why there is a hold. According to Federal law there can only be a hold placed on your deposit if:
-
this is a new account
-
you made the deposit from a non-Truist ATM
-
deposit is over 5000.00
-
the check was returned and redeposited.
-
there is a REASONABLE expectation that the bank will not get paid
None of these apply. The supervisor is trying to tell me it takes them 10 days to receive funds yet the issuer told me the check is already cleared and they have been paid. One good thing about being on hold for 20 mins is that it was more than enough time to file an online complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which if you have a similar problem I would advise you do the same. I am again on hold as the supervisor is "escalating".
