My Truist mobile deposits are no longer immediately available for free.

Truist sent letters to all their clients explaining this change. You're always welcome to deposit in-branch; immediate availability on mobile deposit is a convenience, not a right. The bank inherently takes on more risk to deliver this type of option since, as you are hopefully aware, sometimes people write bad checks or forge then. More on reddit.com

Hold on check. I’m screwed, what can I do?

Definitely avoid mobile deposits and atm deposits from now on, back office ALWAYS puts the most insane holds on payroll checks. Try going in to your bank and speaking with a teller or manager to see if they can release the hold earlier as you’re needing to pay bills. More on reddit.com

Hey! I was wondering how long it took for checks to be deposited if you scanned it through the app. I got the check as a graduation gift, and I scanned it on a Sunday, which isn’t a banking day. Was wondering if you guys know how long it usually takes. Thanks!

It depends on the amount of the check. Typically it’s a next business day availability unless there is a hold placed on it! In your case if you deposit it Sunday. Since Sunday is not a business day it will process Monday and you should see the check Tuesday! Unless there is a hold which you will be sent a email.

My Truist mobile deposits are no longer immediately available for free.
In the past, I didn't know how many immediate deposits I made for free; now, they want to charge me. What has changed? Thank you. I looked around and didn't even see a way to get these for free. Do I have to have a certain amount in my bank account? I'm not sure what changed. Thank you.

My paychecks are Truist and formerly BB&T checks. The BS maintenance fee was one thing, but this immediate availability charge is over the moon out of bounds. These criminals will see me tomorrow when I pull every FN penny out of there. Also I will spend the rest of my days rewarding them, for this BS, with my unfiltered ratings for all to see.
