Bought a new car, and apparently the best option was Truist. Starting to think I should have taken a higher interest rate. I was finally able to link an external account (after 3 days of trying). However, I still cannot make a car payment. Every time I try and use the checking account that is now linked and verified as an external account I get the following message:
"We’re unable to verify your ownership of this non-Truist account. Please check the information you entered and try again. For assistance with mortgage loan payments, please call the Mortgage Center at 800-634-7928. For all other products, please call the Truist Care Center at 844-4-TRUIST."
Any tips?? Or am I just destined to live my life on hold with this horrible music.
Hi. Back in September we bought a house through a local bank. That bank eventually sold the mortgage to SunTrust which turned into Truist.
Since the sale, we have had nothing but headaches trying to pay our monthly bill. At first, we tried ACH. No luck. Despite the option for withdrawal through a checking account, their services convert the transaction to go to a savings account. Which we don’t have.
After multiple phone calls including one CSR admitting that the issue was on their end (before this conversation, each CSR said it was an issue on my end) I mailed a check to them. Success. However, I go to mail a check for this months payment and they never cashed it. It was delivered way before the due date and all.
Now, I’m hit with a late fee. I’m at a loss here and I don’t know what else I can do. Unfortunately since they don’t have hours for Saturday I’ll have to wait till Monday.
To be proactive, I’m asking around if anyone else has had this issue or a similar one and what did you do?
