Honestly, in my opinion this is good. I don’t care what side of the political spectrum you sit on, there is no place for misinformation. I don’t like Donald Trump at all, but Panorama has an enormous amount of sway and their documentaries are often seen by an enormous amount of the UK electorate as highly trustworthy due to their more guerrilla form of reporting.
I’m glad that the BBC caught a lot of flack for this. We should be holding major news outlets to very high standards at all times

Here is the internal memo that sparked the controversy, it details many examples the bias at the news agency; including topics of Race, Trans issues, Israel war, US Election etc. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/11/06/read-devastating-internal-bbc-memo-in-full/ Personally I always viewed the BBC as a mostly center neutral reporting agency. However during the Israeli war I kept hearing misleading stories, many one sided narratives plus the all too common platforming of antisemites. Turns out this bias was a policy not a mistake.

An unfortunate self-own. Trump inarguably incited violence and tried to violently overthrown the government and get his political opponents killed so inaccurately editing his speech was a complete misstep and whoever did it and approved it should face appropriate punishment.
