When a BIOS includes fixes for security vulnerabilities almost always there are performance decreases since the manufacturer is dealing them by disabling / working around the problem, ie not taking advantage HW components on the die that speed up processing (example Spectre). so if you have any common sense you just update and take the performance hit...

I’ve looked up videos but none seem to help me out. When i download the file off the Asus support page for the motherboard there is a file called “BIOs Renamer” or something like that. No video seems to tell me what to do with it, maybe I’m just looking in the wrong place. Someone please help.
Also I’m updating my BIOs because I cant play games that use Easy Anti-Cheat, because they crash my PC. I was told it was due to and outdated BIOs but if someone has a different fix please tell me. Thank you in advance :)
Edit: I’ve updated my BIOs and I can now run games that use Easy Anti-Cheat!

I believe you just double click on the bios renamer and it will rename it for you. Also OP, i had the same problem with easy anticheat crashing my PC and updating my BIOS fixed it.

BIOS version 4802 for the Asus TUF X570-PLUS (with and without Wi-Fi) has been released. Did anyone try updating yet?
If so, any thoughts? There's one thread about the 4802 BIOS for the Asus X570-F and it doesn't sound too positive, but it's not much to go by either. I'm also wondering about those security mitigations and whether it impacts CPU performance.

March 18, 2022 - Depends on how old of stock that board is. I would recommend a different board, that has a bios flashback feature, so the bios won't be an issue. B550 is sufficient, and often has better I/O as well. Unless you really feel you need to have more Gen 4 storage, x570 is not really necessary.

Ive always had 4GHz max on my 3900x with the exception of one bios before, cant remember which, but most bios versions have been this way. This has always given me Cpuz scores of roughly 7800 MT and 490 ST. This 4002 bios has returned to 4.3GHz single core (4.1GHz all core) boost, with 8060 MT and 525 ST points in CPUZ. This is also the first bios version ever to not have my mouse being laggy in the bios. Clearly something under the hood has changed.
