Title. So tv:s have been getting bigger and bigger. Previously 55 was considered bit small and 65 ideal size for most. But now I think 65 has started to take that spot being too small and more people are getting 75 or 85 inch tv:s. Like 10 years ago most people had still 32 or 40 inch tv so kinda crazy and 50 was considered big.

the problem here is people siting more than 8 feet away and that's when you need a bigger than 65 inch television.

Depends on viewing distance and what you watch. And the biggest factor has always been price. There was never a technical reason not to go bigger. Itโs only now that larger sizes have become relatively affordable.

I know I'll probably get a bunch of "decide what works for you" responses, but it's finally my long awaited move in day for my new apartment, and I have a 65" Vizio PQX that I want to mount. I would appreciate some feedback as to how high I should mount it!

Conventional advice says to have your eye level anywhere from the bottom to the middle of the TV. If you recline then that natural eyeline may be even higher off the ground.

The bottom of my 65" TV screen (not stand) is 32" from the ground. So a bit under the 65" to recommended center about 50". I find this a very comfortable height for sitting 10-12 feet from the TV. Especially if you like to slouch in your couch or lay down on the chaise sofa. Some mounting brackets will give you some flexibility in adjusting the height after it's already mounted. Use some painters tape and mock up the dimensions of the TV on the wall and see what is comfortable for you. 50" -65" to center should be best. https://imgur.com/a/NDaxI28

Hello.
I need some help choosing a TV, if you guys could help, i'd appreciate.
Iโm looking to upgrade my living room TV. I currently have an LG 55UR81003LJ (139 cm) and want to upgrade to a 65-inch (165 cm) model.
My budget is between 700-800โฌ.
After doing some research, Iโve seen that many people recommend TCL models like the TCL C745/C805 or Hisense models like the U7N. However, Iโm a bit skeptical about these brands since Iโve mostly been familiar with LG and Sony all my life. One thing that did impress me about TCL is their warrantyโ2 years plus an additional 3 years if you register the product on their website.
What do you think? What would you recommend in this price range? The TV will mainly be used for movies and series, with occasional gaming if I connect it to my PC to play FIFA.
