I have one. It was first used for an 85" Sony X91CJ (from Costco) and now holds up my LG C1 83". It seems fine to me. All four screws/bolts hit the wall studs so it appears to be securely mounted. All the weight is near vertical shearing force. My wall is not quite perfectly vertical where I have the mount, so the TV leans forward ever so slightly. Despite the lack of bulk, the Essential is plenty strong in my admittedly gentle stress testing. Once on the wall, I pulled downward on the upper rail so see if I could detect any bending and it was very sturdy. One BIG advantage is that for the C1, it's probably also the lowest profile wall mount available. The bulk of the weight for the LG C1 is where the VESA mounting/reinforcement is located (400x400mm I believe) so the top third of the screen doesn't have much impact on the stresses on the mount. Finally, the Essentials is not that wide, so you'll want to make sure that the studs are pretty close to where you want the center of the TV to be placed. SOP is to not accept a return on a product missing "vital accessories".

I have not found a firm definition on what a vital accessory is. At my store, the GM would consider a stand to be a vital accessory and had us deny returns of a TV missing a stand, because we had way too many open box TVs without stands that weren't selling and he didn't want any more. In that sense, the stand is "vital" because we couldn't sell the TVs without them.

I imagine it will vary from store to store.
