The easy answer it to check out Ikea https://www.ikea.com/us/en/cat/tv-media-furniture-10475/ Something like this - https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/lommarp-tv-unit-black-50508529/ - would house the PC just fine if you leave the inside shelves off. You would probably need to cut holes in the back for it to properly vent. Might be a bit high for the TV, but Ikea has plenty of options. Answer from roomtotheater on reddit.com

r/hometheater on Reddit: Advice Requested: TV Stand Recommendations for a 75-inch TV
May 18, 2020 -

Hello, everyone.

I recently got a pretty good deal on a Q900, and have finally been able to replace my eleven year-old Sharp Aquos. While this is pretty exciting, I'm honestly a little overwhelmed by the choices because, as far as TV stands go, as the world seemed like a much simpler and more innocent place when I was shopping for a stand that could accommodate a 40-inch TV.

I'd like to spend under $300 for a stand (can go up to $400, if I see something that represents a huge jump in quality) - I realize that I'm not going to get anything that's of exceptional workmanship for this price, but budgets are tough things to work around, especially during periods of uncertainty like this one.

In terms of what I'm looking for, I'm a pretty simple guy. I'd prefer something that looks nice (i.e., not dorm-room chic), allows my equipment to breathe well (I'm primarily going to be using my TV for console gaming and movies), and has a decent cord-management system. I'm currently looking to purchase something like this, but I've never had a home theater before, so I'm certainly open to additional suggestions or advice. A stand that comes pre-assembled or is easy to assemble would also be very much preferred, but that's not a must.

Thank you for taking the time to read all this, and thanks in advance for any help and/or resources you're able to give me.

I just ordered a 75 inch LED TV online. It's a model that has those 2 claw-like legs as a stand. I'm not a fan of this look or functions, but that's besides the point. According to the online specs, the TV with the "stands" have a 41.5 cm depth. I originally wanted to buy a BESTA TV stand from Ikea, but that only has a depth of 42 cm. I don't know exactly how much space the TV requires, but that seems to be cutting it WAY too close. What TV stands do guys use for larger TVs?

Long story short, I'm getting a Bravia 7 75" from a close relative and was looking for a TV Stand that would work with the TV.

  • The feet on the Bravia 7 75" are 16" which seems to rule out most entertainment centers/tv stands as most that are wide enough (70" + so the TV itself isn't over the edge of the tv-stand) aren't deeper than 16" to give some space for the stand.

  • I'm not looking for anything with a fireplace or a stand that is purely white as well

Appreciate all the recommendations!

October 26, 2021 -

I am struggling to find a stand that can accommodate both the 75-inch TV and the gaming PC I bought on Black Friday. Biggest challenge is depth of the cabinets - the PC is about 7 inches wide, 17 inches tall, and 17 inches deep.

Any suggestions? Preferably <$400. Bonus points if it also has an electric fireplace insert and/or sliding doors that allow me to easily vent the PC during use while sealing it off from our cat when idle.

Before anyone suggests the obvious, I can't wall mount because 1) there is no suitable windowless wall big enough to support the screen 2) the PC still has to go somewhere and 3) I'll be moving soon anyway and dismounting could be a hassle I don't want to deal with.

I'm upgrading from a 55 inch Vizio TV to a 75 inch model!

While my current TV stand mount is rated for up to 150 lbs (New TV is only 76.29 lbs), it's only rated for TVs up to 65 inches.

Given that the weight is ok, would it be safe to mount my TV to it, or do I need to find a new stand?

I know it'd be dangerous to have a TV that big sitting on top of the stand, but I need to know if using the mount is dangerous, too.

My current stand is a Z-Line Spar: https://www.z-linedesigns.com/collections/home-entertainment/products/wm5633-50mxvii

If I need a new stand, recommendations would be appreciated. In a similar style, if possible.

Thanks very much in advance!

February 22, 2021 -

Hello. My family and I are really excited to buy the X900H 75", but wall mounting is not an option for us. Considering the dimensions of the set, there really don't seem to be very many stands that can accommodate it. I've searched for days and haven't found any that will work. Either the width is OK, but the depth is off. Or, the depth is OK, but it's not load bearing enough. You get the picture. (pun intended.)

Surely, many others have faced this 1st world problem? I'd really appreciate any thoughts and suggestions you might have. Many thanks in advance.

Iโ€™ve narrowed down to the 75โ€ QM851g since I have a toddler and donโ€™t want to risk it on the Bravia 9.

However, weโ€™ve been looking around for a new 70โ€ TV stand / media console now for weeks and itโ€™s very difficult. We donโ€™t want to go the composite mdf particle wood route as it just looks bad and weโ€™ve been replacing that stuff in our rental home with solid wood pieces of furniture.

The problem is, a lot of the solid wood media consoles are exorbitantly expensive and the more budget friendly ones have low weight ratings.

Any recs for solid wood tv stands in the 70โ€ ball park?

Glad to hear any recommendations from those who know more than I do!

The 75" tv will sit on top of the stand. The only other relevant equipment I have is a sound bar with subwoofer and a ps5. Sound bar I guess can sit on top of the stand, under the tv. It would be nice if the ps5 could go inside the stand, but if it's a wide enough stand it would sit vertically next to the tv. I guess the subwoofer would need to go on the floor off to the side.

July 12, 2019 -

I want to move up to an 85 in TV, and having a hard time finding a 75 inch wide stand for it in Canada. Any suggestions of lesser known Canadian sites to try? I've already tried Best Buy, The Brick, Home Depot, Ikea, Leons.

No, I don't want to wall mount. I want something with 2 shelves to hold all my consoles etc. (Receiver, cable box, PS4, Xbox, Wii U, Switch, Center speaker).

My current setup - https://i.imgur.com/tioELev.jpg I could get rid of the PS3 and mini consoles if I really need to. This stand I really liked for being fully open, but I should replace it to not have the new TV hanging over the sides right? I was thinking it might be ok but probably not.

And I assume I should really avoid shelves with doors right? The consoles need room to breathe, and will be getting PS5 and Xbox Series X replacing current gen ones here, but want them horizontal in the shelf also. Is closed on the sides and open in the front is enough airflow for them?

April 9, 2020 -

I have a 75" Samsung Q80R TV, which is - according to the Spec Sheet - 82 lbs (~38 kg) without stand. I want to mount it a little bit higher than the TV cabinet it sits on currently, but I can't wall mount it.

I see that there are height-adjustable stands (e.g., Amazon ASIN B07YN7VRK8), and I do have a portable stand for a much smaller and lighter 43" TV (Amazon ASIN B01CR4Y0XO), so these seem to be a perfect choice here.

It's just that there's a difference between trying/trusting something I just bought with a $300 TV that weighs nothing compared to an expensive TV that weighs as much as a small person, hence I wonder if someone has experience with a way to mount the TV higher?

(I know I could theoretically just get some bricks or other sturdy materials to build a "booster seat", but I'd prefer to keep at least some aesthetics :))

I'm planning on buying the TCL r615/617 75" TV, and I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive stand, which is proving more difficult than I'd imagined. I see a lot of stands out there which say they're for "up to a 60" TV" or "up to a 65" TV"...yet in looking at their specs, they say they can accommodate TVs up to the neighbourhood of 130 pounds in many cases. The TCL TV I'm looking at buying is only 78 pounds. Would I be safe to go for any stand, regardless of what maximum TV size it's advertised for, as long as it can easily accommodate the weight and also is wide enough to accommodate the legs of the TV?

I've been researching 75 inch units for a good bit now and really want to purchase the Sony x950h. However, I'm struggling to find an accommodating TV stand.

Sony's of this size have very large stand depth's, I believe 16.3 inches in this case. Wall mounting isn't an option and it seems nearly all tv stands top out at 16 inches depth even.

I picked up a 75" X90CJ from Costco last weekend. I'm looking at TV stands and almost every stand has a depth of 15.5-15.75". The legs on this TV are 16". Anyone find a good TV stand that works well with this TV or do they make smaller legs. I've only found one stand that would probably work for my room that also has room for a center channel and receiver.. It's going in a corner of a larger room and I don't want to do wall mount.
