Is there an area in the app where I can enter the code?
Edit: I work in a hotel and we’re switching a bunch of TVs smart TVs. I was trying to help a guest and basically resigned to using live TV on the TV itself instead of using his YouTube TV account. Thanks for the help.
I have a new tv with casting abilities. I have YouTube tv on my phone and use it regularly as a watching device. I was wondering if casting from my phone to the smart tv still just counts my phone as the watching device.
What is happening?:
My phone is counted as the watching device and the tv is ignored as an additional device while casting. OR
The tv takes over as the watching device while casting and is now an additional registered device for the YouTube tv account and counts as the 1 device of the 3 allowed to concurrently stream. OR
The phone AND the tv are counted as registered devices and both count toward the 3 concurrent devices when casting. OR some variation of those?
I just set up a new TV today, and when I go to sign in to the app, I follow the code on the TV log in on my phone and go through the process. My phone says registration complete, but the TV doesn't refresh to go into the app, it's still on the registration screen. If I back out, it asks to go through whole process again. I know it's not the TV because i've been able to setup Disney+ HBO Amazon etc. Kind of lost what I could try next. I've done it both on phone and computer as well as uninstalled the app and reinstalled.
