Copper pipe connection: compression fittings vs. solder vs. shark bites?
Not a plumber but I feel like Shark Bites are fine if they’re in an accessible location. Your application seems fine but if you were going to bury one in a wall I might have reservations about it More on reddit.com

Do you guys ever use compression fittings on buried 1/2" PEX? I want to join it up with copper using this compression fitting
If you’re not going to buy crimpers, just use a sharkbite (pushfit) coupling. Never seen a compression coupling on pex. Would not recommend 😂 More on reddit.com

Apprentice plumber here. I've had a few little installs I've done in my own home such as outside tap etc. One thing that I notice when I use compression fittings is it ALWAYS weeps from the fitting when i do it. I was wondering do I need plumbers paste on the olives? Or do I need Teflon/PTFE tape on the olives? Or maybe the thread? Or both. Please let me know how you do it. I end up using PTFE tape but it always looks a mess when it's done but no leaks.
